You might consider speccing Arcane...there's an amazing "get out of jail free" escape option in that talent tree that makes the Invisibility spell instant, which lets you drop out of combat and run away!  I do it all the time when there's trouble, it's an invaluable help to me, and it's awesome in PVP from escaping gankers though I know Reico is on a carebear server ;)  I love the Arcane Mastery ability that revolves around keeping your mana pool high...the more mana you have the more damage you do.  It's like a mini game within the real game keeping your mana topped off.

I'll see how things go.  But I'd miss my little water elemental pet from my ice spec.

Dual spec is cheap these days :)

Joe, I barely know how to play one spec well these days with all the changes.  LOL!

billybob476

hehe same here, since priests got talents refund twice lately I just restored my shadow spec. One of these days I'll address my previous discipline-PvP spec.

I actually bought dual spec a couple days ago (seemed redundant until now with a Mage...hmm should i spec DPS, DPS, or DPS?) but with the new talent trees, playing a differently specced mage is like playing a completely different character.  I tried Frost for the first time and found it really complicated worrying about all the cooldowns and procs(Icy Veins, Deep Freeze, Fingers of Frost) and switched right back to the Arcane I am relatively familiar with

Cooldowns and procs?  I just Frost Bolt them and send in the pet.  LOL!  ;)

Haha, well I'm thinking about it from a raiding perspective. Frost has been buffed to where average DPS is comparable to fire and arcane in raiding for the first time.

Actually Frost used to be above all.  This was a little while ago.  Then Blizzard boosted Arcane a lot.  I'm not a raiding player, so none of it matters much to me.

Still got awhile till raiding, I don't even qualify to run a cataclysm random dungeon yet!

I thought Frost was mainly for PvPers, and that Frostfire or Pure Fire specs followed closely by Arcane were the main raiding specs for mages.  Of course I haven't been following WoW for more than a year so my info is out of date.

Frost remains the preferred levelling spec as well.

Oh, besides the other goodies in the collector edition I got this cool poster too from Best Buy.  It's about 18" x 24" or so.

So many of my friends have gone radio (internet) silence since this game came out.

Well, took Reico to one of the first new zones (Mt. Hyjal).  Died once, but mainly because there are so many people around it's hard to see what's going on.  Got a second MOB on me.  But it's fun and already got a new robe in quest one there that was way better than my old one.  Who needs raiding?  LOL!  Here's me flying to the new zone passing by Deathwing.
