Hey Guys.. there are big Heroes articles in both TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly, this week. Here is a snippit from the Entertainment Weekly article about the on going theories about Heroes.

THEORY #1 The current, official operating idea is this: In times of profound global crisis, forces of nature produce new kinds of people that can deal with the world’s problems.

YES OR NO? ‘’We reserve the right to change this theory as we go along,'’ says creator Tim Kring, suggesting that scientific or maybe even extraterrestrial intervention is possible.

THEORY #2 Niki is triple-timing as serial killer Sylar.

YES OR NO? It’s a popular notion among fans, but as Ali Larter points out: ‘’I don’t even think of her as having powers.'’ Nonetheless, Kring calls the Sylar-Niki connection ‘’very viable.'’ The Nov. 27 episode, which reveals the roots of Niki’s schizoid nature, will settle the matter.

THEORY #3 Horn Rimmed Glasses doesn’t want to stop human evolution â€" he’s just trying to slow it down so the heroes can grow into their mutantdom.

YES OR NO? ‘’Interesting,'’ is all Kring will say. Whatever his plan, you’ll see H.R.G. ‘’get stressed out'’ during sweeps, says Jack Coleman. ‘’He’s trying to put out 100 fires at once.'’

THEORY #4 Hiro changes the future just by racing through time. But if that’s the case, hasn’t he already saved New York from disaster, per The Butterfly Effect?

YES OR NO? We’ll find out this month when Hiro’s rules of time travel are explained. And Future Hiro’s sword? ‘’It becomes a major part of the show,'’ says Kring.

THEORY #5 Niki’s son, Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey), is creating the entire world in his head. There’s also the contention that an unseen comic-book writer is behind the action.

YES OR NO? Kring swears there are no ‘’It’s all in a snow globe'’ moments in store. As for Micah, Larter says he has powers, she knows what they are, and she ain’t telling.

Yeah, I just read the "Entertainment Weekly" article.  Interesting stuff.  Theory one makes the most sense.  It also mentions how the actor playing Hiro used to work at ILM for Lucas and has a very high IQ.  Neat stuff!

Rico

Really liked this week's show (11/13).  And next week - oh my god!  Don't miss it!

Geekyfanboy

This show continues to  amaze me. Loved this episode.. only Heroes can have an episode that not much really happens but so much is said. Next weeks episode is going to ROCK!!! We finally get to know why if they Save the Cheerleader, they Save the World.

Rico

I think Hiro went back too far in the past and ended up getting to know the girl more, going to her birthday, etc. And maybe he had to stay put since he wants to make sure she doesn't go into work on the day she is killed. The dad character is interesting still, not quite sure if he is telling the whole truth. Does the girl working with him have a power to influence others? She whispered to the painter and then he took the drugs and started painting. Does she have some kind of "Jedi Mind" trick power? Next week's show looks great!

Geekyfanboy

yeah I agree Rico.. I think Hiro went to far back and now has to catch with Ando in the current time. I just wonder how far back he went.. few days, few weeks or few months. Yeah HRG guy seems more like a good guy then bad, the commercials keep saying he's bad but I don't believe it. I still think he works for a secret government agency that is mapping out and testing our Heroes. I thought all this stuff started six months ago but it seems there have been other "Heroes" around for quite some time. HGR guy mentioned that there was a "special" girl under his care 14 years ago who died and had a daughter (Clarie). Yes Eden does have the power to influence, but it seems she doesn't like using it. Does Mohindo have a power? What was up with his dreaming things he wasn't there originally able to see. This series is so AWESOME. And of course the be battle next week... can't wait.

Rico

Yeah, I think Mohinder can do some kind of dream walk thing now.  Those dreams were way to vivid and real to be just the normal kind.

The NBC peacock has got to be fluttering its feathers in all their grandeur after the Nielsens came out on Tuesday. For the first time, in a very long time, the network that once owned television with hits like Johnny Carson’s the “Tonight Show,” “Cosby” and “Seinfeld” has a new show that is a ratings gobler.

The new SF series “Heroes” set a new series high, with 15.01 million viewers making it a real competitor by coming within a scant million viewers of ABC’s comedy king of the Monday night hill “Two and a Half Men,” starring Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer.

Since “Heroes” first aired its pilot episode the show has consistently rated 14-plus million viewers every Monday night, making this past Monday’s episode the highest rated so far for the series about people scattered across the planet that have mysteriously evolved certain special abilities and the super-villain that is out to destroy them all.

The current concensus on the Heros boards is that Hiro went back 6 months to the readheads birthday, and that is where he learns english and begins his transformation into "future hiro" once he realizes that he can not save the girl. ( note the unhappy look on his face in the birthday photo )

We know Hiro is back for the homecoming since one of the paintings shows him and ando back together looking at the homecoming sighn that claire was painting on her living room floor.

We know that peter shows up there as well. Both from the paintings and from the preview.

Eve ( HRG's female assistant) does have the power of suggestion, there have been several hints dropped by her and HRG ( and someone found a reference to it in future episode summary that was leaked )

As far as HRG himself, we know he is motivated by protecting claire, and that he has been doing this for at least as long as claire has been alive. His level of resources and his origional motivation is still up in the air, and even the actor in a recent interview hints that he will be somtehing of an antagonist for the heroes. Still we know he wants syler as bad as everyone else does. So he may be the kind of character that both helps and hinders the protagonist characters.

all together just cant wait for next week, this show just keeps getting better!!!!

"George Takei (Sulu) will play time-traveler Hiro's father on NBC's hit series Heroes.

E! Online has reported that Takei will play the father of Hiro Nakamura, the young Japanese Star Trek fan who
can move through time and space using only his will.

"This is absolutely brilliant," said Masi Oka, who plays the enthusiastic young time traveler bent on
saving the world. "Hiro's father is this big honcho who shows up in America with his bodyguard. He has
this whole elaborate scheme to...take him back to Japan."

"I just hope I get to say, 'Dad! Sulu is my hero, not you!'" added Oka. "The sci-fi fans would love it!"

Last Monday, E! Online's Kristin Veitch said that a face familiar to genre fans would be joining Heroes,
where the ninth Doctor Who, Christopher Eccleston, will be be joining the cast as well.

The 69-year-old Takei will first appear in the January 29th cliffhanger episode.
