All I have to say is WOW... This series continues to blow my mind. Nathan flying was AWESOME. Hiro talking to Nathan.. too funny. Issac and Peter teaming up to Save the Cheerleader, Save the World. And we finally get to see DL. And then the previews for next week.. Niki throwing DL across the room. She has some super powers beside the dual personality. I can't wait to watch this episode again and again. And 7 days seems sooooooooo far away.

Was very cool.  I loved Nathan trying to land and burning his feet a bit.  This series is moving along.  I think the cheerleader's dad is a definite bad guy now.  Next week's looks good too.

More Behind the Scenes stuff. I watched Chapter Five again this morning and noticed that when HGR guy and Mind Altering Black guy were dragging Nathan in the parking area and then he flies off.. that's the parking structure on the lot I work.. that's where we all park. They have closed it down several times in the past few month for shooting.. at the time I didn't know for what show. Also when Hiro and Ando are in the parking lot of the "Casino" again that inside the same parking structure... it's very cool. Then the cafe on the outskirts of Las Vegas was actually build in a parking lot on the studio lot. I watched them build that months ago and again didn't have a clue for what show. Anyways I thought I would share.

Okay you smug people. We better get this show over here or I'm really going to be upset. I feel I'm missing out on something special. Certainly missing out on being able to comment on the show, I don't even read the existing comments,it's just that every time I log on to the forum, it shows as having new posts on the show. Also I'm looking forward to BSG season three. This is certainly one of the best Sci-Fi shows currently on TV, its also another topic I can't join in on because you guys get it long before we do >:( P.S. Anyone seen Torchwood?

Looks like Horned Rimmed Glasses guy is sticking around for a while...

Variety is reporting that actor Jack Coleman, the cheerleader Claire Bennett’s uber-weird, horned-glasses clad father, has been tapped to be a series-regular beginning with the 11th episode.

This is good news because this character has already become a focal point of fear for those with special abilities, and we know that he has at least one worker of the unbelievable already working with him…the mysterious man who can wipe one’s mind totally clean of all memories. The big question remains - who is the man behind those horn-rimmed glasses? Is he solo or with an organization? And, what, if any, powers might he have?

I just read this on EOnline.com and the Watch with Kristen section. It contains minor spoliers.. so beware.

I have a message for you. This show rocks.

Just to make sure we’re all on the same Heroes-loving page, allow me to share what we learned from tonight’s fantastic fifth episode. (I’m gonna get a wee bit spoilery, so beware.)

1. Future Hiro teleported from the future to the present with a message for Peter and asked Peter to pass that message along to Here-and-Now Hiro. That message, of course, was "save the cheerleader, save the world." I find it fascinating for many reasons, but the primary one is potentially so spoilery, I must post it at the very end.

2. Nathan can fly! And he’s also wholeheartedly smitten with Niki’s alter ego. Mrs. Petrelli (Rena Sofer) is gonna be so pissed.

3. D.L. (Micah’s father and Niki’s husband) is back in the picture and can alter matter. (And by the way, as you can now see for yourself, he is not the same person as the mind-eraser guy, as some of you had guessed.) Dad. L.’s power will make it pretty dang hard for Micah and Niki to escape, but something tells me he's not as evil as he seems.

4. Ditto on Horn Rimmed Glasses (aka Claire’s dad) on the not-so-evilness. (Stay tuned for more on that.)

5. Somebody needs to hook up Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli) with the number for 1-800-Contacts! Sorry, but the special effects of his weird, glowy eyes made me giggle. Still, I dug the twist that Peter completed the picture of what would happen to the cheerleader. And I can tell you the massive, shadowy figure in it is indeed Sylar. And speaking of…

BIG, SPOILERY THEORY: Read only if you want to know

Just a little something to get you thinkingâ€"and realizing how good this show is gonna be. Okay, you know how it’s clear now that Peter can "borrow" other heroes’ powers when he’s around them? Well, what if the Big Bad could do the same but in a different manner? And what if the Big Bad somehow managed to get the power of "the cheerleader"? That would be a pretty bad day for Peter, would it not? Not to mention the entire world.

I know. I just blew your mind wide open, right?

actually I think he allready has some form of it. Remember when the cop unloaded half a mag of 9mm into his chest he fell, but recovered almost imediately. So he does not have "superman" style invulnerablity, but does have some quick recovery capability. He also has some form of flight, and telekenesis ability ( putting the female cops gun to her head, implanting the guard cop and chair into the roof, impaling all his victems with various household items without any sign of anything being touched ect...)

My current personal theory is that Syler is kind of the genesis subject of the professor and that he used his early contact with him to learn the professors method of finding the (for lack of a better word) mutants, killing them and through some means (probably having to do with the brain given the missing brain when hero finds the painter dead in the future) , absorbing thier powers permanently.

so not only does he have numerous powers but with each kill he grows stronger and more unpredictable.

If im even half right, he makes one hellofa supervillian!!!

Interesting ideas guys.  One mark of a good show is if it gets people talking.  And I'd say this show has hit that target well.  Can't wait to see what happens next.

I like your theory... but do we know for sure that the bullets even touched him. We know Sylar has telekinesis powers what if he stopped the bullets before they hit him. I know he fell to the floor as he was shoot but he could have done that for show so the cop would assume he killed him. I'll have to go back and watch that episode again. I like the idea of Sylar going after Claire to gain her regeneration power if he had her power it would be tough to defeat him.

Awesome episode.  I am beginning to questions "evil-Dad's" evilness.  It just does not add up that he is evil to me....nothing I can really put my finger on but...

Did anyone notice that the casino that Hiro and his buddy were thrown out of was the Montecito?  For any who do not know, the Montecito is the fictional casino in the NBC show Las Vegas...just though that was funny.

Oh and how far in the future did "future-Hiro" jump from?  He has a sword, speaks near perfect English and says he did not recognize Peter "without the scar"..

Man I love this show
I think it was Socrates who spoke the immortal words:  I drank WHAT?

I like the idea of sylar tracking clair for her regeneration ability and its possible that sylars telekenesis could have protected him from the bullets, and perhaps he fell down as he reached his limit?  kind of weak i know, but its marginaly plausible.

as for HRG (horn rimmed glasses) the evil?Dad, I think he is less evil than simiply sociopathic. He has a goal he belives in and will do anything to anyone to accomplish that goal. We dont know what that goal is yet, and that is what will determine if he is an antagonist to the heroes or not in the end.

Now that we know he has support in new york with the little next door neighbor girl, plus the mysterious black guy, it looks more and more like he is part of or the originator of some kind of genetic reasearch organization

Finally I loved the reveal with nikki, her alter ego, and DL.  We know what bad nikki has been doing and we have a small hint as to her power, seems to be super strength and animal ferocity in protection of her child.  No fair of DL to reach into her chest and squeeze her heart. Very interested to see what bad nikki does to get her son back. SCARY  ;)

Another cool episode last night. I agree with several people here that I'm not convinced that HRG (Claire's Dad) is evil. I'm not saying he is good but I don't think he is evil, at least not yet. He looked very scared when Eden told him about the Save the Cheerleader. And speaking of Eden... I knew from the start that she was someone working for HRG.

I continue to enjoy the subtle way of bringing the characters together. Example when Hiro and Ando were playing cards and went to the bathroom just in time to hear the guy getting ripped apart by dark Nikki (one of the producers has call her alt. personality Jessica, but they haven't mentioned her name on the show yet.). And from the previews looks like DL and Micha will be hooking up with Hiro and Ando.

And speaking of DL.. l really like the introduction of his character. We were lead to believe that he was this murder and come to find out that Dark Nikki did it (which I kind of figured) but that DL was a loving father and husband and was just a thief not a murderer. And WOW Dark Nikki has some major strength, she's very animalistic as Bigt said. DL's power was pretty cool too, being able to squeeze someone heart comes in handy.

All in all a rather slower episode with not too many storylines but this episode gave us quite a few answers. Can't wait for next week.
