This show looks awesome although I am very curious as to the provenance of all those props, especially following the Christie's sale last year.

Rico

Quite a few of the items were created specifically for this show.  This is more a display and an event than a museum show.  Plus, easier to insure that way.  ;)

Geekyfanboy

Well do they say that these are original props?? And you do realize that they make a ton of extra props just in case they break. I mean in one of the pictures we see Picards flute.. well we all know that the original one sold at Christies so this must be reproduced.

Ktrek

Thanks for the link Kenny! Are you and Harry going dressed in Star Trek uniforms? It would be cool to get some bridge shots dressed in uniform wouldn't it? Or jumping through the Guardian?

I don't know what, if any, representations they make regarding the props or models. It may be a hodge podge of real and reproductions like at ST-The Experince. I am looking forward to seeing all the set reconstructed set pieces, I just get more of a thrill from seeing real screen used props and models. Those uniforms and costumes look very authentic. I hope Phoenix is the next stop!

Today when I got home from work there was a Fedex package waiting for me.. guess what it was.. my exclusive merchandise gift item that came with the purchase of The Captain VIP Package for Star Trek The Tour. It's a very cool messenger bag.. very well made with a cool design going across it and the Star Trek Tour Logo on it. We also got our Exclusive Star Trek The Tour VIP Badges. Of course since Both Harry and I got the Captain ticket package we got two of them.. they're great.

Only four days to go and it's a Star Trek weekend for Harry and I.. so excited!!!!

Bryancd

That's so cool! How much were those tickets and what else do you get?

Rico

We got the Captain's VIP Package which includes

- Non Opening Weekend 3 day pass (Fri - Sun)
- Exclusive merchandise gift item
- Priority Access to Simulators
- Complimentary Picture / DVD (on the bridge of Ent and being Transported)
- Exclusive Star Trek The Tour Laminate VIP badge

Harry and I LOVE Star Trek and figure it was a once in a lifetime event and really wanted to enjoy  it and not feel rushed to see everything. That is why we got the three day pass and paid $175.00 each for our tickets.

We plan on taking two digital cameras, a DV cam and a Hi 8 cam.. will have plenty if footage/pictures to share.

You know 175 each for all that really doesn't seem that outrageous. I thought it's be more.
