You know I would love to hear that but if you are going to play a lot of songs then i would play only clips of the songs. I always play a song on every podcast, normally a theme tune but i would not play like the soundtrack. I'm also of the opinion that if you are 'bigging' the content you are talking about eh Disney then they would be fine because its positive advertisement. If you are slagging it off then they may take action. As Joe said look at Lucas they are mad for keeping an eye on things but they dont go after podcasters or even audio dramas (as long as you dont charge) beceause its spreading the word.

Anyway Al, whatever you put on Mouse House i'm listening.

Just throwing this out there as it's what I think of when I do my podcast.. if you use licensed material and like other have said you're showing it in a good light and your not making any money off of it then most companies are cool with that...

But I like to think long term and one day would love to actually make money off my podcast, either with sponsors or advertising. Once you cross that line and start making money then issues arise with licensed material. Meaning you would need to remove all the podcasts that have licensed material in it to avoid any issues. So for me I tend to avoid using license material all together.. again just my 2 cents.

That's a point I hadn't really considered. As obscure as the possibility may be, you're right, I too would like to think someday we could get a sponsor or two. This is a show I most likely will put up in a few months, so that gives me some time to contact Disney and see what they think. Plus, if they say "yes", then I can promote Tales as a "Disney approved podcast"! :) ;)

On another note. For Disney fans check out the "Window to the Magic" podcast. It's one of my favorites.
:( Blackride...I'm crushed! I thought Tales From The Mouse House was your favorite! :)

LOL I am a Disney fanatic. I am always on the forums.wdwmagic.com. I got to Disney World at least once a year! I love that place.
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

Disney is not going to come after someone who is promoting their product for free and sue them. I do not think there is anything to worry about at all.

Salaam and welcome back weary travelers! Please, sit back, relax and enjoy Part II of Disney's Aladdin: Musical Spectacular from California Adventure's Hyperion Theatre (in the Hollywood Back Lot). Will Aladdin win the heart of his True Love? Will Jaffar's evil plan succeed? Will the Genie crack up the audience even MORE? Beware...this video episode is a bit...larger than previous episodes! However, you shall NOT be disappointed! You can download part two from iTunes, from the Tales From The Mouse House Photos link on the left of this page, or from Podcastalley.com (http://www.podcastalley.com/podcast_details.php?pod_id=97066).

This wonderful Broadway style stage musical is without a doubt, one of the jewels in the Disneyland Resort crown. Although we truly thank you for watching, we HIGHLY recommend that if you get the opportunity, catch the show in person, it is well worth the trip!

So, sit back, relax and enjoy part two of Disney's Aladdin: Musical Spectacular. We hope you like our presentation, and in the words of the Genie..."You ain't NEVER had a friend like me!!!"

Ideas for future shows? Comments? Magical Memories? Please, send them to us at talespodcast@cox.net, or visit us on Podbean at talesfromthemousehouse.podbean.com. You can even send us audio comments if you want! We'll play them on the show. Please, leave comments in iTunes! ~~Al & Joyce
