This is from next weeks issue of TV Guide.

Claude, an invisible man played by British actor Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), appears January 22. "He's been living with his invisibility for many years and has come to grips with it, so he'll give us a different view into this hero world," [Heroes creator Tim] Kring explains. "He's big, imposing and charismatic, and will become a mentor to Peter - albeit a tough, reluctant and stern one. He'll help Peter learn to use and control his powers."

Just watched the second to last episode for the year last night and I must say....WOW...this show just keeps getting better and better.  Mondays eppisode showed me two things: 1) We can put to rest the "Nikki is Sylar" theory and 2) Sylar is a grade A PSYCHOPATH.....wow is he deranged.

Awesome show.....the 2 month break is gonna hurt......

Two months ????   What -- nobody wants to go up against 24 ??   Hey, watched the last show before the break last night.   Hiro of course, was great.   They need to do a recap hour when the show comes back.   Even though I watch the show each week, it is getting hard to keep track of it all.   Great cliffhanger.   I say these kind of shows should be shown back-to-back.  I can wait until after the superbowl instead of trying to remember what happened two months.   Hey, I'm an old man -- memory goes first and then :( everything else. :))

Darth Gaos

Yes...excellent way to "end" the fall part of the season.  I hope the show sticks around long enough for Hiro to fight the dinosaur....I REALLY wanna see how that even happens.

Just a quick note to let you know I'll be joining in the discussion pretty soon.  I've kinda been listening to the Heroes talk on the podcasts with one ear closed and avoiding these threads here on purpose, but I've spent the past few days watching the first half of season one streamed from NBC's website.  What a great idea to make this show available to anyone that wants to get caught up.  The connection sometimes drops out but never for more than a few seconds at a time.  I'm totally hooked though, love the show.

Cool Joby.  Glad you're getting caught up!  It's a great show.

Geekyfanboy

Hey Joby... so glad you caught up on this awesome series.

Here is the offical release for the rest of the season.

11 episodes already done, seven more episodes begin airing Jan. 22, then after a five-week break, the remaining five episodes will close out the season. That’s right: 23 in totalâ€"NBC was so high on the show they ordered an extra episode.

Masi Oka, who stars as Hiro Nakamura on Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that his character will find love and a sword in future episodes. "Let's put it this way, I heard from [series creator] Tim [Kring] somewhere down the lineâ€"I'm not gonna say whenâ€"somewhere down the line there will be another love interest with Hiro," Oka said in a conference call with journalists on Jan. 3. "From what I understand it's gonna be a new character. But who knows? You never know what's gonna happen in the minds of the writers."

In the last few episodes before the mid-season finale, Hiro fell in love with a Texas waitress named Charlie (played by Jayma Mays), but was unable to save her from the serial killer known as Sylar (Zachary Quinto). According to Oka, the experience will have a profound affect on Hiro in the last half of the season. "[The death of] Charlie has definitely put a certain devastation and a realization of reality into his power," he said. "He's definitely come to realize he can't change the past. Fate is fate and he can't change that. Same with destiny. He believed in that and he realizes that that's something not to be messed with. But Hiro's still on his pure journey, but he's gone through a lot of tragedy and obstacles, so it's going to be hard for him to sort of balance that."

Hiro will also begin a quest for the sword he saw himself using in a picture drawn by the character of Isaac (Santiago Cabrera), who has the ability to paint the future. "The next seven episodes [are] definitely focused about Hiro and his quest for his sword, which he believes will let him focus his power and get back the control over his powers," Oka said. "But we'll see some very interesting, new kind of effects, because of his lack of control of his powers and [how they are] tied to his emotions."

And what of the dinosaur also seen in the painting? Oka, who also has a career in special effects, said that it will be explained, and possibly even seen, in the next new episode. "Our show has always realized Isaac's paintings," he said. "So we know it comes to fruition in one form or another. And all I can say is I do work for Industrial Light & Magic, and we've worked on a great film called Jurassic Park." Heroes returns on Jan. 22 in its regular timeslot on Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
