You know, it's not as easy to get a wide variety of Dr Who memorabilia over here as it is in the UK. I'd love a Tardis model.

Just got a small one (and a Dalek to go with it) from my trip to the Doctor Who experience a couple of weeks ago.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

A few years ago, in a PoundSaver or some other shop of that ilk, I scored a Dalek coffee mug and cereal bowl for a couple quid.  It was somesort of Easter thing, had a chocolate egg in it.  In case you're curious, the egg was yummy.  Anyway, after I'd returned home to the States, I decided I wanted another of those Dalek mugs as my wife was always running off with it for her coffee.  I looked on eBay...+$30.  So yeah, it's easier to get good DW treasure in the UK.  The wifoid and youngest just came back and my offspring had no less than 3 sonic screwdrivers, weeping angels, and DW goodies galore.  All I got was a magazine with a bunch of little plastic models.  Daleks, Weeping Angels and the like...might be good for Monopoly game pieces.

So, I've finally gotten to Matt Smith as the Doctor (which is my brother's name, funnily enough) had to re-watch the early eps. with my wife. Pretty good so far. I do wonder, how come the Doctor's incarnations have gotten younger and younger, and how did he live for 850 years or so in one form, but in the past 50 has been through the ringer 10 times? Anyway, Allons-y, I'm on to the next episode.

My biggest irritation of the new series. He was 500 years old in his second incarnation and only 900 by Dr 10. Rubbish and they really should have thought about that before writing back in 2005. Also the reason why they get younger is because television and film is unfortunately ageist. I personally would love a older actor to play the Dr.

ori-STUDFARM

Exactly. I did hear they were looking at having an older one for the 11th...until they saw Matt Smith's performance. He just won everyone over with his portrayal. And I can see that. He plays an old Timelord really well for a young bloke!

That was a pretty good trailer. Of course the sad thing is we have lost three of our Dr's. I wouldnt mind seeing actors in those parts (1,2,3) as long as they could pull off the performance. Ah 5th Dr, you were my doctor.
