Congrats Walter!

The Hollywood Walk Of Fame will soon fill out its set of original Star Trek actors. Today The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that Walter Koenig will be getting a star on the Walk of Fame, making him the final actor of the original cast with his own star.

More info here and watch this funny little viral video that was made to help Walter get his star.

A fun video full of good wishes from a surprising list of celebrities up to the very last one - don't miss it.

Yep - well deserved.  Merged topics.

Congratulations Walter!

"Esther Shapiro, a co-creator of the 1981-1989 ABC prime-time soap opera Dynasty, and J. Michael Straczynski, creator of the 1994-98 science fiction series Babylon 5, were among those in attendance at the 11:30 a.m. ceremony in front of the Boardwalk restaurant on Hollywood Boulevard. Former Star Trek alums George Takei and Nichelle Nichols were also on hand for the cermeony.

A professor encouraged Koenig to invest in his acting talent and he enrolled in New York's Neighborhood Playhouse, where his classmates included Dabney Coleman, Brenda Vaccaro, Christopher Lloyd, Jessica Walter, Elizabeth Ashley and James Caan."

Awesome!  Congrats to Walter.  He was very nice to Rick Peete and I a couple years ago at Chicago Comic Con.

Here we go! The full ceremony has been posted here now:

Don't know how long it might last so you may want to visit soon. It's not long, about 30 minutes.

Ditto that, Rico. He's been to many cons down here, and is always fan friendly. I had a nice chat with him at MegaCon when he was just hanging around waiting for something, I chewed on his ear about Bester from B5 and he actually seemed pretty happy to talk about it. Good guy. Glad he's getting his star, recent times have been tough for him.
