Not unless Microsoft got a tablet recently that I never knew about.

On a more serious note, I don't know.  As I have not met anyone with a WP7 phone nor Skydrive.

And I looked it up, yes it does do some of what iCloud promises, but iCloud gives you Data backups of your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch as well as email, calendar, contacts and you can redownload your music now without paying again.  And iWork suite also works well with all of this so no.  Skydrive doesn't have the same features as iCloud unless I misread the website at Microsoft's.  And its likely that apps will use the API of iCloud to their advantage so we'll see even more features come out of this in the long run.

I wasn't just talking about that, I was talking about the whole wifi sync and other stuff with the music is pretty much what zune software, zune players, and the win7phone has done from day one. This doesn't really seem like they are really innovating anything, just catching up to something that has been out for half a decade.

On the music front, not sure how much more innovative you could get with music.  And sure its a little late, but Apple had to go through the music publishers to do half of this stuff.  Which is really wrong to me, but what can you do about it...Now Google and Amazon have to sweat it out because they didn't go through the music industry.

Yes, the breaking-of-the-cord comes a bit late, no denying that.  But the cloud and twitter integration are some nice improvements as well as everything else.

Its not the most innovative OS update no.  But there are new features like the new 4-5 finger swiping to another app, to close the app, and stuff like that so its not like it isn't innovative.

it does break the iPad's need to hook up to a PC which means I can now recommend it as a computer rather than another device to get.

Not sure what more could be looked for I guess.  These devices work really well and this is a nice patch to fix most of the holes that was wrong with it in 4.0.  It is free after all so I guess I can't complain.

Some of it is playing catch-up but it all seems to fit the normal Apple 'logical progression from where we are now' approach (which can be equally frustrating and satisfying depending on what feature you have your eye on).

I haven't looked into this too much yet but the iCloud approach sounds more intriguing than I thought it would and some of the other little tweaks will be helpful.

As for what Microsoft have on offer, it's a fair point but as I don't have a (current) microsoft device, it's ultimately irrelevant to me (and probably most others).

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

GarageBand has been updated to allow importing of audio files! This is great news.

They still need to make it easier to import video into movie though. At first I thought this update had facilitated this but on second reading it doesn't look like it.

Huhh?!?!  You mean you couldn't import audio files into GarageBand before??

Nope. Crazy huh? Lol

I didn't watch this, but....huh?? What version of GarageBand are you talking about? I use GarageBand for podcasting and voiceover stuff and import audio ALL the time. Lets be clear: the mobile versions...no. But, those are stripped down versions.
