No one is more excited than the HitFix crew for the long awaited return of "The Muppets" to the big screen.  Unfortunately, the film's new teaser poster, which debuted today, has us a little confused.  The image of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzy Bear, Gonzo and Animal walking toward the viewer is great and iconic.  The tagline, however, "They're Closer Than You Think" has us stumped.  The Muppets are...closer than you think because the movie is opening in November?  The Muppets are...closer than you think because...?  We'll just have to trust Disney on this one.

In any event, the comedy (with an appropriate number of new and classic songs) stars Jason Segal and Amy Adams with rumored cameos from everyont from Zach Galifianakis to Ricky Gervais to Katy Perry. And don't be surprised if it's one of the biggest hits of the upcoming holiday season.

"The Muppets" opens nationwide on Nov. 23.

No Muppets should be seen from the waist down.  It's just weird looking.

I was thinking the same thing. I hope they aren't CG!

I've never seen that before! Typically when I think of Star Trek and Muppets, my mind goes to Pigs in Space.  What an excellent parody.  :)

the space ship looks like darth vader's helmet in the beginning ;)

I was a huge Muppet fan...watched every episode of the Muppet show the day it aired, even would force myself to stay up late with my Dad to watch the pretty inappropriate (for the time) Muppets segments on the early Saturday Night Live episodes.  Also loved Fraggle Rock, and watched that show all the time with my little bro.  I had the original Muppet Movie on video disc (the precursor to laser discs) and watched the scene with Steve Martin at the rude waiter over and over again because I found it so hilarious.
