Wow!  That's really nice quality footage just using the iPad built in camera.  Seems to do pretty well in even relatively low light.  Plus, that shop has some really cool stuff!  Great work on this Rick!  Love it!

What's the megapixel count on that back camera again?  Can it do HD video??

Off the top of my head I believe it can pull off 720p.

Thanks for taking the Video Rick, looked awesome, Don sure stocked up since I was there. All that Vintage looked amazing, I could see why he was excited about some of those figures like Yakface. Saw he had a Blue Snaggletooth as well. Very cool.

720 x 1028.   So yeah I could have exported in iMovie. In hd but it would have taken longer

The instruction manual in iMovie isn't too bad either, it's how I learned to do some of the stuff in my vid.

Is iMovie on the Ipad much different than iMovie on the Mac computers? Cause I know it's pretty simple on the Macs.

I doubt it.  It's probably the same, to me it's at least easier to pick up than Sony Vegas was.  *shudder*.

But it also offers way less options than the bigger desktop clients like Final Cut or Sony Vegas.

Yeah I could never use it for videos cause I always wanted to do more than it could handle. I'll say this for Final Cut that it's not easy to learn. You'll spent the first few days having no idea what you're doing with it, but once you figure it out it's pretty awesome.

Rico

I'm just very impressed with the quality.  What file format export features are available in iMovie?  Also, how much storage on the iPad did your raw video take up Rick?

I think we need an iPad section! :)

We have one - it's called Tech Topics.  Rick just posted this video here since it was a finished video he just happened to do with his iPad 2.
