I'm just very impressed with the quality.  What file format export features are available in iMovie?  Also, how much storage on the iPad did your raw video take up Rick?

The format I sent to you .Mov is the only format that it can be exported from the app.  It can also be sent to Facebook, YouTube and other similar sites.

I think we need an iPad section! :)

We have one - it's called Tech Topics.  Rick just posted this video here since it was a finished video he just happened to do with his iPad 2.

Yeah we have gotten a little off topic by how impressed we all are by the iPad's video capabilities, and who wouldn't be?

Rico

I just did a little reading up on iMovie.  Looks like you can move video to something called the Camera Roll and when you sync your iPad with iTunes on your PC the video will be there.  Of course you might still have to convert the file for other uses.

Anyway, yeah, spinning into an iMovie, iPad tech talk.  I still love the video Rick.  I also was thinking it's good that store is not near me.  I'd be in there a lot buying stuff up!  I liked the Chiana "Farscape" toy. :)

Nah we need an Apple section. It's the second most popular topic on the forums! ;)

Rico, let me check the file size on this.  I'm not sure.  I know that soon, I will have an adapter to put my HD video from my other cameras into projects in Imovie.  Looking forward to that.

I have been and always will be, your friend.

Ok, thanks Rico- I did some checking, exported my video to camera roll, a section on  my ipad, and it made it an mp4.  I also can upload it to Youtube and then download it.  That made it 58 megs.  The original file was 1.2 gigs.  I'm now trying to just pull it from the ipad.  We willl see!

Not sure how to do that with a PC, but with the Mac, once you connect the iPad, or iPhone, or iWhatever, to the Mac, you can import the files into iPhoto. I would imagine there's some sort of photo/video filing system on the PC as well, right?

*snorts*.  Cmon, that'd be giving them too much credit.

No, we do have "libraries" that we can put docs, pics, videos and music into.  But that's just folders really.  Actually, you have to manually pull the photos from your iDevice onto the computer, there is no automatic system for the Windows system.

Rick, go to "My Computer" then iPad (it has to be connected), then click through the folders, you'll find your stuff.
