Don't think a thread has been started about this movie (coming out next November).  Some stuff coming out of "Wondercon" this weekend about it.

The good folks at Relativity Media have given us the opportunity to exclusively unveil online (offline, they were also just unveiled at San Francisco's WonderCon) five brand new character posters for this fall's mythical fantasy-action drama Immortals. The movie tells the tale of the Greek warrior Theseus (new Superman Henry Cavill) who is chosen by Zeus (Luke Evans) to protect his homeland and save the gods with the help of priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and a slave (Stephen Dorff). Produced by 300's Mark Canton and Zombieland's Ryan Kavanaugh, Immortals hits the big screen November 11th!

Visionary director Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall) and producers Gianni Nunnari (300), Mark Canton (300) and Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter) unleash an epic tale of treachery, vengeance and destiny in Immortals, a stylish and spectacular 3-D adventure. As a power-mad king razes ancient Greece in search of a legendary weapon, a heroic young villager rises up against him in a thrilling quest as timeless as it is powerful.

The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king's mission.

As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge the death of his mother in one of Hyperion's raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man's future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final desperate battle for the future of humanity.

Don't forget, when this movie comes out next month we are going to get a very good look at actor Henry Cavill (the new Superman) and how his acting is, how he handles action scenes and so forth.  Looking forward to it.

This movie was ok.  It felt like elements of 300 and several other movies thrown in.  The main hero is good, and I think he'll do Superman justice.  He did the hero-moments pretty well.  But overall, the movie had little emotional impact.  The script was really weak and while the visuals were pretty (and gory), I had a hard time getting emotionally attached to anyone.  No one's acting was bad, it just lacked any reason to feel any emotion for the characters.  The villain was....decent, I like the guy who was playing but it was just "I'm evil because I'M EVILLLLLL."  Oh and one giant problem with this flick:
everything could have been stopped if the Gods had acted sooner, so it was a giant loophole that was never well explained.
So my thoughts are, watch it if you want to see another 300 flick but except less interesting characters.  That's pretty much how it is to me.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but its easily forgettable film since it focused on visuals over story.
