Ark Sci-Fi Series on Hulu???

There are 9 episodes on Hulu for a sci-fi series simply titled Ark.  They are short between 3 and 9 minutes (webisodes?).  This is totally new to me - anyone know anything about this?  Here is the start at Episode 1.  Looks pretty interesting...
