Well, after a final long long wait (to me anyway), I got my hands on my iPad 2.  LOVE this design, LOVE this look.  :)  Don't have much to say as I haven't played with it much, but going to love this I am :)

King

Nice Tim, but don't you know that it's bad to spill water on the iPad? I mean, it's all wet!!

I have a quick question.  If you go to Apple's site, and look at the iPad 2 and pull up the data plan rates for 3G, it says the data amounts include Wi-Fi browsing (there is a footnote).  What does that mean?  If I had the 2GB per month plan, does it track data even when I'm at home on Wi-Fi that counts towards that 2GB amount??  That doesn't make sense to me.

KingIsaacLinksr

No.  it doesn't matter if you use 2 GBs or 200 GBs over your wifi.  AT&T/Verizon does not care. What that probably means is that if you buy AT&T's version, you get instant access to AT&T's wifi hotspots across the nation at McDonalds and similar.

Hmm, so home WiFi shouldn't impact this?  See note at the bottom of this chart...

Nope.  The only thing you need to watch is 3G usage.  That's it, if your connected via Wifi, the only thing to watch is battery life.

Yeah, the Wifi they are probably referring to is the ones in coffee shops and fast food restaurants.  You can buy a 3G model and never need to buy a month of data and still be able to use the wifi-feature at home or elsewhere.

It may refer to a wifi cap at hotspots such as McDonalds, to stop people sitting there all day streaming. Your own personal wifi they don't police.

Oops Tim beat me to it!

As far as I know, there is no cap to Wifi at McDonalds.

Perhaps, there has to be some reason AT&T has its fingers in the Wifi hotspots.  But idk, maybe someone else does?

I think they may mean browsing for free over AT&T wifi hotspots is included in the data cap since technically you're still using their data service.
