I always enjoy the Christmas specials.
Last year was the first time I experiences them and as I think I said at the time, I found just a little too much cheese in them. Still, any Eureka is better than no Eureka!

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I just think the long gaps are stupid for shows. 8 to 9 months I'm gonna pretty well forgot about Eureka and not gonna care so much when if finally does return. I only just got caught up on Eureka maybe 3 weeks ago. I just didn't think about it and wasn't watching it upon it's return. I thought about it, but I just didn't, just had other stuff to do. I just don't want to wait that long.

To me, Eureka (along with W13 and Alphas and Haven) are the "summer series" on Syfy.  They're shorter that we've gotten used to in the US, sure (12-13 episodes as opposed to 22-25), but personally I think that makes the stories better.  Nothing gets stretched out just to cover the amount of time they were allotted *cough*Sanctuary*cough*.  I have no problem waiting until next summer to see the real story continue, as I'm not really counting the Christmas special.  It's a nice thing to look forward to, in my opinion.  :)

Sanctuary I thought had different issues. I just hated it after...
they killed Ashley.
It just went down hill I thought. Eureka I just enjoy to watch as a lighthearted show. I just know I'm gonna lose more and more interest the longer it takes to come back. I like the shorter blocks and shorter hiatuses personally. This is less about Eureka as TV in general though. It's probably really for a different discussion.

I enjoy "Sanctuary" quite a bit.  I like the characters a lot and the stories are pretty cool.  Tesla is especially fun.

I would also prefer less downtime between seasons, but this is just the way it is these days and has been for awhile.  Less new content, more breaks.  Have to take what we can get.  At least these days there are other things to watch when other shows go away for a time.

Yeah I didn't know Fringe was coming back this week, so I won't have nothing to watch on TV. Like with other shows I forgotten all about it which I think explains my point with Eureka on how I will probably have forgotten all about it by the time it returns. I guess somebody make sure and post something about it in BIG letters when it is coming back so I can remember to watch it with everybody else and not get behind.

Don't forget.  The "Eureka" Christmas special is on this Tuesday, Dec. 6th on SyFy.

What the hell? The video above didn't prepare me for the weirdness of the episode.

No sign of getting it over here yet but if last year is anything to go by, we may see it just before Christmas if we're lucky.

Great special.  Loved it!  And for you UK folks, check your listings on Dec. 19th.

At first I didn't recognize Jim Parsons as Carters Jeep but the more excitable the dialog the easier it was to recognize Sheldon Cooper.

I need to check and see if this is on SyFy's website. I would love to see it!
