I enjoyed the finale quite a bit. Now all I want to know is why do we have to wait so long for season 5. It's already been filmed for crying out loud, least a lot of it right? I hate SyFy, I really do sometimes.

Just a quick gripe, not really spoiler, but whatever. Jack's Jeep...
Does anybody else feel like Jack's Jeep being destroyed in getting almost too cliche. I mean you just know it's gonna happen in this one, a little more creativity with it would have been nice. It's not like it's been destroyed in every episode recently, oh wait I think it has.
We get episode 18 tonight so only two more weeks to go. Having watched the entirity of Eureka in the season 4 timeframe, the wait for season 5 is going to hurt!

As for the spoiler...

Yes, but we know it and they know it and they know we know it so I think it's being done deliberately.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

I enjoyed the season finale, thought it left a lot for us to bite on while we wait for the final season. And to Dan's spoiler comment: Yes, they know it. We know it. I know that you know it. Feathers knows too, and I know that Feathers knows that you know and I know that...oh hell, you get the picture! :)

Great season finale! Very well done and as always the actors were great. And we will get a Christmas episode so we don't have to wait for all of it till 2012.
I knew Allison was going to get stuck on that ship! I just knew it. Didn't really see Jo leaving though. I know she's coming back though. One of my favorite parts were when Jack was at GD and he was talking to Henry and Henry mentioned something about the ship, don't recall exactly, then Jack said "My pda has a camera and this has a ____ People need to know these things!" I need to start writing this stuff down so I remember it.
Yes that's true.. there is going to be a Christmas Special.. but it's more of a stand alone episode. Has nothing to do with the current storyline.. so we will have to wait a year for the resolution to the current cliffhanger. :(

Loved the season finale.  Great stuff and nice setup for next season.  Keep in mind there has pretty much always been a long gap between seasons of "Eureka."  And it won't be quite a year long wait (more like about 8-9 months or so).  Anyway, looking forward to it.  Here's another cast pic with also Eddie McClintock (W13) and Mark Stern (SyFy honcho).

I just think the long gaps are stupid for shows. 8 to 9 months I'm gonna pretty well forgot about Eureka and not gonna care so much when if finally does return. I only just got caught up on Eureka maybe 3 weeks ago. I just didn't think about it and wasn't watching it upon it's return. I thought about it, but I just didn't, just had other stuff to do. I just don't want to wait that long.

Normally I'd point out that you need to give them time to film the new season but that's clearly not the case this time so I guess it's just network scheduling.

I just don't want this to be like BSG, that was more like a jerk move for their final season.

Ah the sign of the age...I remember a time when new seasons started every September. They'd run from Sept to maybe Nov/Dec or Jan, then be gone until the following fall. :)

I think my perspective on time is broken though. I feel like it's been weeks already since the finale of Eureka. I've been busy though, I have lots of filler memories between the two points in time (now and then). That's probably why I forget how much I enjoy a show after only a few months, cause it feels like years.

Yes thats true but at least we will have a little something to help us with the long wait. I am looking foward more to the new season though.

To me, Eureka (along with W13 and Alphas and Haven) are the "summer series" on Syfy.  They're shorter that we've gotten used to in the US, sure (12-13 episodes as opposed to 22-25), but personally I think that makes the stories better.  Nothing gets stretched out just to cover the amount of time they were allotted *cough*Sanctuary*cough*.  I have no problem waiting until next summer to see the real story continue, as I'm not really counting the Christmas special.  It's a nice thing to look forward to, in my opinion.  :)

I always enjoy the Christmas specials.
