I understand it. But I don't have to like it.

I just think that if you say you are the SciFi Channel, then you better be showing a lot of SciFi.  If I go to the Game Show Network, I expect to see game shows, not Reality shows.

I just want to 'get what I am paying for' in terms of the SyFy Channel.  tt may be true that we have been somewhat spoiled in the last decade or two that we had more SciFi on TV as a result of the popularity of Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, BSG, and others.

I just feel like SyFy is changing its focus and neglecting its original intended audience.  And that make me upset and quite disappointed.

I imagine this was the point of their name change. They don't want to be "just SciFi" they also want to show wrestling. The same thing happened to my beloved TechTV when it was acquired by G4.

I get what you're saying, but if they wanted to break free from the strictly Science Fiction genre, then change the name to something more directional. Changing from SciFi to SyFy only confuses the corn out of people. So, by replacing an I with a Y, that changes your programming direction? Make zero sence to me.

Makes no sense to me either!

Billybob, that was a good one.

The simple answer was that you can't copyright "SciFI" but you can "SyFy". It also allows them to slowly burn away from scifi to something else and then when the changes are done, they can make a new station. Remember what Spike was before it became Spike?

Rico

It's just a name.  Remember when we used to think apple meant a juicy piece of fruit?  ;)

I don't think I'd want a piece of fruit with a bite out of it!

Dangelus

At the least they have had the decency to commission a "finale" episode. It so sad when shows end without one.

Some pics from Comic Con.

Well, I look forward to what is yet to come. Season 4.5 is stacking up on my DVR (I've been away) and I'll take season 5 when it comes (unless I've ditched my Sky package by then).

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.
