ah, another nice day.  Spent most of it reading.. a friend recommended a book... so I read 12 chapters...

I did get a chance to tour a cool looking garden... but the bugs tried to eat me and the ladies alive!!!!

These things are on a bunch of trees EVERYWHERE!!!!

and now a shameless plug for the 50 calorie Mike and Ike Popsicle... three bucks a box at Safeway... had to share it with the cabins next to us due to the 90 degree weather and the fact that we had no freezer.  They were grateful, and so were we...

The moon tonight, fresh out of the oven, taken only moments ago...

Catherine eating a famous Yakima Miner Burger, man it was HUGE!

and last but not least, some cool yellow flowers...

Had another great day yesterday.

We went to a place called Toppenish.  It is a little town with 64 Murals painted on various stores and stuff.

We took the tour on a wagon drawn by horses.  The guide was named Jim, and was very entertaining...

At lunch I got Spock's fortune cookie..

Pretty fun day.  Kind of looking forward to getting home in a couple of days.  It's just too hot!!

these little guys hatched only a couple of days ago... pretty neat.

I don't know, this reminded me of star trek ... of course everything reminds me of star trek.  :)

This was from our campsite at night..

This is the father of a whole bunch of Geese that landed in the lake by our cabin...

Here is his family..

Fire!!!

and tomorrow we head back over the mountains to home.
