almost finished with "dark mirror" its about the TNG version of the mirror universe from "mirror mirror". good book so far.

I was super excited to read Dark Mirror when it first came out.  I bought it in hardcover as soon as it was published.  Up to the release of that book, we hadn't revisted the mirror universe at all since the original episode from TOS, so it was really cool to see what had happened following that show.  Of course soon after that, DS9 revisited the mirror universe in one of the most compelling continuing storylines of that series.  But I remember really loving the TNG take on the mirror universe from that book.

Have you done a podcast on the DS9 version of the mirror universe Rico?  I can't keep track of them all anymore.

Is no one reading any good webcomics? I recommend the Norse Mythological parody at brat-halla.com

Still doing my Summer graphic novel reading and have got though a lot of them sice my last post in this topic. Here is the list. With my rating following the title.
Brightest Day - Vol. 1 - 7. Too much Deadman in this book. Don't care for his character
X-Men Universe - Civil War - 7.
Superman - Kryptonite Nevermore - 7. Old story from the 70's.
Mighty Avengers - Siege - 7. Should have waited to finish Civil War storyline 1st.
Hawkeye & Mockingbird - Ghosts - 8. Really good story. Didn't know Mockingbird.
Captain America - Civil War - 9. Almost gave it a 10! Good one.
Batman - Tales of the Demon - 7. Another DC from the 70's.
Brightest Day - Vol. 2 - 9. Alot better than the 1st Vol.
Green Lantern - Rage of the Red Lanterns - 7. Missed this one when I was reading the Geoff Johns GL books.
Have Batman - Hush waiting in the wings. This is the black and white version.

now reading star trek: reunion. has lots of info about the stargazer. wonderful book so far. :)

Ktrek

I'm reading Star Trek - "Cast No Shadow" by James Swallow. An excellent TOS story that takes place after Star Trek VI and fills in a lot of the backstory of Valeris and her betrayal.

I enjoyed the Reunion book and the new one Ktrek mentioned does look like it would be a good one.

Really enjoying "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline.  It's an imagining of a dystopian society in our near future where 99% of the worlds population is addicted to and constantly immersed in a virtual reality massively multiplayer online world. When the games creator dies he leaves a cryptic will where he offers sole ownership of the game and his fortune to the first player that solves his final quest.  I'm about fifty pages in and so far the book is a lot of fun, filled with great references to 80s scifi, Tv, and video games.  I highly recommend you seek this one out, a great read.
