That book looks awesome. Does it delve deep into the behind the scenes and history of Industrial Light & Magic? I just watched a documentary a few days ago about Pixar. I really enjoy that kind of stuff. Might be something I'd really like to check out.

I guess you could say they do that some but I think its more about how they came up with some of the ways they did the effects. They do have some short parts where they tell about some of the creators at ILM and where they started out. There are alot of awesome pictures too!

Another visit to the Bargain box on Thursday and I found 5 to fill some holes in my collection. Here is a pic of them.

JSA was a good book. I loved that arc with KC Supes.

Reading Enterprise:Beneath the Raptor's Wing now, it's pretty good so far, just started.  Finished Darth Plagueis, which is a really excellent book and makes sense of alot of stuff from the prequels.

Starting to read "The Hunger Games."  Really great so far - as everyone has told me.  Hoping to finish it before I see the movie.

The wife and I want to read "The Hunger Games" as well but we haven't bought the book yet. I'm planning on reading a couple of graphic novels I got from the library. One is a prequel to John Carter and the other is called "John Carter - A Princess of Mars". I wanted to read those since I just saw the movie today.

WillEagle

Got through alot of graphic novel lately. Here are a few of them and what I rate them.
Superman: Last Son - 8.
Captain America: Man Out of Time - 8.
John Carter: World of Mars - 7.
Birds of Prey: Brightest Day - End Run - 9.
Batman: Heart of Hush - 9.
Batman: Streets of Gotham - Hush Money - 9.

Also there is a local used book store that is going out of business. The owner wanted to sell because he wanted to retire. He had a potential buyer but it didn't work out. It is right down from the comic shop I go to. I did find a couple of Trek books I didn't have and a great find was 4 'V' comics. This series has been hard for me to find so I was pretty excited to find them. Here is a pic.

ChrisMC

Awesome, I remember owning some of those V comics back in the day. Love finds like that.

Reading the second Hunger Games book now called "Catching Fire."  Just as good as the first book.

I started listening to it via audible yesterday as well. Great so far!

Sisterhood of Dune.  Nearly finished.  can't decide if it has been adding to the Dune experience to read these prequels?

I've just finished 'Dauntless', the first in the Lost Fleet series that Joe recommended on his podcast a few weeks ago. A very good book in so many ways.

I like the way it plays within the rules of physics as we understand them at the moment which is unlike most anything I've read before. The concept of a space battle changes completely when you take account of limitation of the speed of light and the sheer scale of a typical solar system.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.
