Reading the final Fate of the Jedi book Apocalypse.

How are you enjoying it Bryan? I kind of got burned out on the series but Apocalypse is the last one I have left to read.

MUCH better. Pacing is terrific, it really hums along, and the story is exciting. I am about 3/4 of the way through and enjoying this the most out of all the books by a long shot.

Hm, good to know, I'm reading the first Honor Harrington book right now but I'll probably switch back to finish out the FOTJ series noce I'm done.

I just got the new Stephen King Dark Tower book from Amazon, The Wind Through the Keyhole. Can't wait to dig in, it's only 300 pages or so, should be a quick read.

House Corrino from the prequel series, Prelude to Dune.  This is part 3 from the series.   Other 2 were House Atreides and House Harkonnen.  These are done by Brian Herbert, Frank Herberts son.   Interesting because it gives back ground on many of the characters in the original Dune book (and Movies).  Brian's done many more of these prequels.

Has anyone read any of these by Brian?

I have read them all, really enjoyed them. Stick with it, there are quit a few that continue the DUNE story done by Brian and Kevin.

Yeah, they are fun, some of the stuff that happens in them is a bit crazy...especially in the Butlerian Jihad books. I liked the House trilogy the best for sure. Nothing can really compare to the first Dune book, my favorite book of all time, but it's neat to have further stories in that universe.

I'm reading The Grave Yard Book by Neil Gaiman in the evenings on my iPad and I'm listening to Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks while at work.

I gave up about midway into book six in the Wheel of Time series.  It just kind of stopped going anywhere for me.

Oh MAN. You can't stop there... it gets so much better. Especially the last three. :)

I was tempted to drop it a few books back, but I am too deeply invested - and we are too close to the end now.  There is some good stuff there, mixed in with some not good stuff.  He was really milking it out for a few books

Just finished Mockingjay, the third Hunger Games book. I enjoyed it overall despite the fact it started getting a little bit draggy in the middle. Enjoyed the ending.

Just now finished Wind Through the Keyhole.  Soooo good.  I always feel such a letdown when I finish a book in a series I love.  Who knows how long it's going to be, if ever, until there's another new story about these characters I love so.  This was a gift, I know, since the series actually came to an end several years ago now.  But I still feel left wanting more.

Trying to catch up on some of my comics and not doing a very good job with reading graphic novels from the library and I did pick up Sci-Fi magazine with Iron Man on the front. Nice article in there about 'The Avengers' movie. Did finish Spiderman - Civil War which was very good and deserves a 10 rating. I also picked up a couple of Star Trek graphic novels and look foward to reading them.
'Spock: Reflections' based in the JJ universe.
The Next Generation: The Last Generation based in the Myriad Universe.
Heres a pic.

Rico

I liked that "Last Generation" set of comics.
