Woo Hoo... finally finished with my Star Trek The Tour section of my website.. check it out and let me know what you guys think.. it's only a small portion of the pictures but I think it shows off quite a bit of the tour.

Awesome site Kenny. Cool pictures! I wish they would post an actual schedule. I know it's coming to Houston and Dallas (road trip) but they don't say WHEN.

FYI, they are going to have a press conference soon to announce the fact that Star Trek The Experience is closing it's doors in 2009. We announced it on Anomaly podcast almost a year ago... I can't name my source but he works in the theme park industry.
I have never been to the Experience! We should all plan a trip before it closes!

Yeah I have heard rumors that it was going to close.. I know the contract expires in 2009 and the Hilton hasn't picked it back up yet.. if it does close that will be a huge shame and it is such a great attraction to go to while in Vegas.. I actually spend my entire weekend there. I hope the rumors are not true.

Does anyone know when in 2009? I was planning on a lads weekend (a big trip for us lads in England) in Vegas and we was going to see it.

I just read this on the Star Trek Tour website.. still no schedule..

After a record setting run in Long Beach, CA., STAR TREK THE TOUR will be available for private parties, corporate events, weddings, and educational events through May 15, 2008 at the Queen Mary Dome. For more information please contact SEE Touring at 323-957-4300.

I considered that but it will be gone in May.. our ceremony isn't till August :(

If they are going to shut it down, they may sell stuff off, eg props or made sets so it may be worth keeping on eye on any auction offers. Kenny that would be ideal for your ceremony.

Hey Hawk.. we are talking about two different things.. Star Trek the Tour (which is this thread) is a traveling Tour.. it just finished it's run here in CA and is moving on to another City..

As for Star Trek The Experience there is no official word yet that it is being shut down, I know the lease is up in 2009 but they haven't said "officially" if it's going to be shut down. And if it is... I'm sure the stuff will be given to the Tour as that continues for another five years.
