Yeah, I've noticed sound issues quite bit lately.  My guess in some cases is some theaters haven't upgraded their speaker system to handle some of the new digital audio and it's poorly balanced.  That plus those DBOX seats Mark mentioned - those seem to make the whole theater rumble!  :)

Sawthe movie last night. Great direction, Great writing, great acting, great sets, great special effects, great laughs. The bar for superhero movies has just been raised significantly.

Just got back from Imax 3D ... well worth it! I might go again on my next off day.

WOW.    INCREDIBLE MOVIE!!!!  Well done, Joss &  team.  This one was not only knocked out of the park, it was knocked out of the freaking solar system.  So many cool moments; a film hasn't inspired this kind of outright joyful laughter and glee in a long, long time.  This film felt like an epic love poem to all comic books.  I feel an overpowering urge to go see it again tomorrow!   ;D
Right from the first introduction of Jackson as Fury back in Iron Man, I KNEW this was going to be an Ultimates movie.  Ultimates 1 & 2 are two of my all-time favorite books, and this film managed take some of the coolest elements of both & create something familiar yet awesomely new.  There absolutely HAS TO BE an Avengers 2, featuring THANOS!  There just HAS to be!  PLEASE!
Well said!

If we lived in the same town, I'd go with you. I'll most likely go to see it a couple of more times. I laughed so hard that I got dizzy a couple of times.

Fun article over on Comingsoon.net about some of their thoughts on what characters to bring into the next Avengers movie.  I like some of their ideas and casting thoughts too.

Just got backed from a 3D matinee and loved it!
I am still laughing at the scene when Thor and Hulk are on top of the crashed machine in Grand Central and hulk punches him just because!
Yes, almost brotherly! Reminds me of horsing around when I was a kid. They really nailed the personalities.

I hope I can go see this again on Sat. with my mom and nephew. My nephew called me this past Sat. and said 'take me to the Avengers movie.' He really likes these kind of movies so I really do want to take him so we can talk about it. He's 17 so It's cool he likes some of the things I do so we can have chats about them.
And someone said earlier about Captain America being like he's still in the 40's. I really like that part about his character in this movie and was even talking about that to the wife after we saw it.
Great movie and can't wait to see it again! And i don't care if it's 2D, 3D, or 3D IMAX!
Oh, yeah, I was talking about the movie to one of my managers at work and he ended up taking his wife to see it in 3D IMAX. He said they both liked it.

What did Hulk say in his only line in the movie?  The theater was laughing so uproariously I couldn't hear it.
I thought that maybe it was "puny human" but I couldn't tell
I think,...
Hulk says, "Puny god."  When he slams around Loki like a ragdoll.
Thanks...by far both of the biggest laughs in my screening were generated by the Hulk
When he pops Thor as an afterthought and when he beats the everloving crap out of Loki.  I'm not quite sure how I feel about Hulk understanding the difference between a god and a human as well as being able to articulate it, but only a small quibble.
The answer is simple.
The hulk is still Banner. He knows what Banner knows and it's totally within the context of the character to understand. Also, had he done the same to a human, it would be a stain on the concrete after the first slam.
