I just read tonight that Commander Shelby was played by Brian Dennehy's daughter, Elizabeth.

I'm guessing everyone here put that together a long time ago, but I never did.

I remember that being mentioned at the time of the original epsiode was aired. I would have never put it together, as I read it in a newspaper article.
