I was fairly certain nobody has posted on this so....what is everyone doing for Christmas?

Myself, I'm going to my 1st Cousin's house for the day or two and then going to watch my brother's basketball tournament on the 27th.  Ugh...they never stop it seems.  Just curious to see what all everyone was doing.

Wife and I are flying back east on Sunday. Staying with my dad and family in Greenwich, CT. Heading down to PA for an overnight to visit my wife's family on the 26th, our anniversary, flying back the following Saturday. Christmas Eve at my Dad's is a big deal, formal dinner, lot's of friends stop by, it's the best! I'll post some pics when we get back.

Christmas Eve will be going to my cousin's house with my Dad's family.

Christmas Day will be spent with Mom and Stepdad during the afternoon and Dad, Brother and Sister-in-law during the evening.

Day after Christmas Harry and I will celebrate and open giflts.

We're spending Christmas Eve in San Antonio at my in-laws'. They make a nice dinner and we have egg nog and exchange gifts afterwards. We usually have a Norwegian pastry and a cup of coffee at David's parents' on Christmas morning before we make the drive to my parents' farm, for a big breakfast. We exchange gifts after breakfast and in the evening my parents have a big dinner complete with homemade tamales.

My wife and I are heading back to Montreal tomorrow night to do a Christmas dinner with my friends from home on Saturday. Also we'll be spending some time with my parents before they fly off to Orlando to spend Christmas with my brother, sister-in-law and nephew. We'll hang around Montreal until Monday then drive back to Toronto to spend Christmas eve at the in-laws house. Christmas day my wife's family and I will be heading up to Niagara-on-the-Lake to have lunch with my wife's cousin.

On Christmas, I go nowhere.  Just home with Lynn and the boys.  But starting Saturday evening, and Sunday and Monday we do all our visiting relatives & friends around town, etc.  But Christmas day is just with the family.

On Saturday evening I will go out for Dinner with some friends. We go every year and have a big Chinese dinner. On the weekend, my Sister and her husband will come through town with my niece and nephew, so will probably visit with them before they head to his families. Christmas day will be at my parents, then we will go out for supper, as my mom does not want to cook. Boxing Day we will have Christmas supper.

Jeff is clearly one of my fellow Canadians. Boxing Day is Dec 26th. In Canada it is the biggest shopping day of the year (comparable to black Friday). There are big sales in many stores and crazy amounts of people out looking for a deal.

It is called boxing day because traditionally, it is the day people would return gifts they didn't like to the store and exchange them (bringing the 'boxes' back). I believe it is the same in England and likely originated from there.

I'm not sure if I like our system or the pre-christmas sales better.

Well for the Moyer's we already started celebrating.  We had an all church gathering last night (you saw the pictures) then on Sunday we are doing a big Christmas drama and illustrated sermon (two services).  We are expecting 600 or so for services.  Then on Monday we go visit my 88 year old grandma at the nursing home, then go out to the Canton Cafe- a hole in the wall Chinese place in Aberdeen.  They have the best egg rolls in town.  We only eat there once a year, on Christmas eve.  It's our tradition.  Sometimes we make fudge and give it to all the people around our booth.  Then at 10pm that night (Christmas eve) we have a candlelight service where I will be sharing a story called "White Christmas" and a special monologe that I am writing from Joseph's perspective.  We will have a cool Christmas sing a long and then dismiss around 11 p.m.  From there we will go home and laugh and talk for awhile.

Christmas morning we have cinnamon rolls and cocoa then we will hang out and I will cook a Prime Rib for lunch with Amy's mom and uncle.  The rest of the day we will probably hang at the rental.

On Thursday my folks and my sister's family are coming down and we will get to spend the day with them.  That will be nice. I'm cooking a ham and scalloped potatoes.  Maybe I'll bring my guitar home and play some.

All in all, it will be a family Christmas this year.  That is good.

I am not Christian so I just follow my wife where she tell me to go, not so unlike every other day :)

I think we are going to go over her mom's house for the day. That's not exactly the most relaxing thing but as long as football is on I will be fine.
Ripley: Ash. Any suggestions from you or Mother?
Ash: No, we're still collating.
Ripley: [Laughing in disbelief] You're what? You're still collating? I find that hard to believe.

It is pretty much as Billybob said, I guess it is only something observed by commonwealth countries.

Here is the wikipedia explanation on Boxing Day
