I'm almost finished with "Kenobi", Rico. Love it. :)  It's taking me a bit longer than usual to get through this book, because I'm reading a couple of other things for work and I'm having to alternate between them. I'm hoping to finish this week and I'm looking forward to the review too, Bryan.

My sister gave me a subscription to Audible for Christmas and during the day I listen to that. I just finished "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Revan". I really liked the video games and was very excited to hear that there was a novel out about the Outcast and Revan. It was pretty good all the way through, but I didn't like the way they left things in the end. I'm sure they're counting on sequels, but, to me at least, it wasn't very fulfilling.

That Kenobi does look like a good book. I'll end up with it some day.

Recently read some really good Graphic novels.
Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi Vol. 2 - Prisoner of Bogan - 8. Very good series of Star Wars ser a Very long time ago!
Doctor Who: series 2 Vol. 4 - As Time Goes By - 6. This featured the Matt Smith Doctor with Amy and Rory.
Red Hood and the Outlaws Vol. 2 - The Starfire - 9. I liked this much better than the first Volume. Great story featuring the team on Starfire's ship going up against an invasion force against her planet. Very fun read.
Also picked up Doctor Who: The Vault book from the library. Looks like it will be really good!

Finished off "Kenobi" this morning.  Good read.  Next up I think will be "Divergent."

I am reading "Autobiography" by Morrissey.

Too much for his own good sometimes, but that's Moz. :)

Another list of graphic novels I have recently read along with some of the Doctor Who The Vault book. I'm going to need to take The Vault book back to the library though because my time is up and someone has a hold on it. I'll put myself back on the list. Very interesting book breaking down the series by year with tons of pictures and info.
Recently read graphic novels:
Catwoman Vol. 3 - Death of the Family - 7. Loose tie in to the Death of the Family storyline.
Batman and Robin Vol. 3 - Death of the Family - 9. Very good and a pretty wild story.
Superboy Vol. 2 - Extraction - 7.
World's Finest Huntress/Power Girl Vol. 2 - Hunt and be Hunted - 8. These ladies are from Earth 2 and they are trying to get back to their Earth. Power Girl finally gets into the uniform we all know and love in the last part of Vol. 2.
Doctor Who - Prisoners of Time Vol. 1. - 7. I really enjoyed the last 2 parts of this which featured Doctor's #3 and #4. If you didn't know this series is featuring each Doctor in a story which I believe is going 12 issues. I already have the second volume to read and waiting for #3 from the library.
Next up is Batman: Odyssey.

I'm reading a couple of books right now: Millennium Falcon (audiobook) and Enders Game (paperback). I also downloaded an Old Republic novel after I recently finished "Revan". It's called "Deceived". I haven't started it yet, but hoping it will be good.

Also, sort of ashamed to admit it, but my sister is a big fan of Diana Gabaldon and has been nagging me to read the author's "Outlander" series. Especially now that  A & E is making a drama series based on it. It takes place just after WWII (at the start of the story) and in Scotland during the 18th century. My sister told me that I would like the story because it's a time traveling, historical fiction. I'm a huge history and archaeology fan so I decided I'd go ahead and try it. I've been curious why non-geek women are so into time travel stories...so I read it as research.  It's a thing apparently and I've been considering an episode on Anomaly to discuss WHY it's a thing. Maybe it's the romance of a different era...maybe it's just romance in particular, which I can't say I've been a fan of as a genre in literature.

I finished the first novel in December and once I got around all the smutty romance novel stuff (which I wasn't expecting to that degree), I found the premise intriguing... and that annoyed me. :D  Here's why: the main character has NO concern for preserving the timeline and the prime directive does not exist in this universe.  I'm having trouble accepting some of her decisions, which could ruin the future she's so keen on returning to. That said, I liked the story and the characters. I found that several of the Highland warriors reminded me of Klingons and I worried about them during their battles. I ended up listening to the second book soon after, which has far less smut in it, though it's still too much for me. I think the series is pretty good and I'll probably listen to the next one, but I don't think I could consider myself a rabid fan. I'll probably watch the first episode of the A&E series, once it comes out. I think my sister has planned a "viewing party". :) She's so jazzed about it.

About halfway through Millennium Falcon myself. Interesting angle on a Star Wars novel.

Jen

I have to say, Joe, I'm finding Millennium Falcon hard to get through. Not sure what it is.

It does meander a little bit. I took about a week off but I'm back on track now.

I just finished "Star Wars: The Old Republic: Deceived" by Paul S. Kemp. I LOVED this book! It is based on one of the trailers for The Old Republic game. Kemp spun an awesome tale around the death of the Jedi Master in the clip below and the fallout after the attack. If you're a fan of this era or the Old Republic or KOTOR games, I highly recommend you read "Deceived".

StarWars: The Old Republic Cinematic Trailer

I've been playing ST Old Republic off and on since this past summer. This novel just reignited my interest in the game... now if I could only find the time to play it.
