I just picked up the latest issue of The Star Wars, #6. I have no idea what's going on in these books, but I do enjoy them. I'm pretty sure the early drafts of Star Wars saw Georgie on some recreational drugs.

Leviathan Wakes.
Preparatory reading, eh? Next on my list.
Exactly!  I want to be ready for the SyFy channel version.  It is pretty good so far - and just my kind of stuff - 'hard' SciFi.

Just finished Doctor Who - The Tardis Handbook. The Guide to the Best Ship in the Universe. Pretty good book with lots of cool info about the Tardis and show. But I would disagree about the best ship part.

Just starting to read "The Martian" by Andy Weir.

Just finished with some more graphic novels.
Ultimate Comics Spiderman Vol. 3 - 9. This has been a fun series to read.
Earth 2 - Vol. 3 - Battle Cry - 7. This series could be better but cool twist on well known characters.
Law of the Desert Born - 7. This was based on a Louis L'Amour short story. Very different from my norm. Worth a read if you get the chance. It's in black and white and is a oversized hardcover.
Doctor Who - Prisoners of Time Vol. 3 - 9. Great ending to this series.
Now onto some magazines and the first couple of Graphic novels from the newest Captain America series.

About half way through Christopher L. Bennett's second Enterprise Rise of the Federation novel called Tower of Babel. It's actually pretty good and I am enjoying it as much as his first Rise of the Federation novel. Nice to fill in the gaps after the Romulan War and his world building is always very good in his books. I'm not a huge fan of ENT but these books make all the characters pretty likeable. They do take place about ten years after the series ending and the original ENT crew are kind of scattered and Archer is now an Admiral. Bennett is one of Trek's better writers currently and I guess this series has been doing well enough that he was contracted to do two more at least.

The cover art caught my attention and your review reeled me in.
I've read the first two Enterprise novels by Martin &Mangles, now looking forward to Bennett's work.

You'll really enjoy them Dave! The Martin and Mangles books were actually OK books but when Mangles had a falling out with Pocket Books it became pretty obvious who was the stronger writer of the two. The two Romulan War books written by Martin are not all that good at all. The Bennett books do pick up and move forward the stories of the two Martin books but in the first novel he gives enough information that you can read it and enjoy it without having to read the Martin books and can be enjoyed on their own terms without knowing any of the Romulan War book's story.

And yea...it is a very nice cover! :)

Just finished reading Skin Game by Jim Butcher. Wasn't as good as the older Dresden Files books. I still enjoyed it, I read it in a day after all.

That book called "The Martian" I just finished was really great.  It would make a cool movie too.  Found this "list" online that seemed pretty good for a few classics I have missed.

That is a pretty good list.  I have read many of them, and now will add others to my 'to read' list.  At least I have all the top 10.
