Yeah but when she was talking with the attorney she seemed to be "snapping" back and forth between the two almost instantaneously (ie the "conversation" she was having with herself).  That is why I thought Jessica then instantly snapping back to Niki.

Yeah I thought the same thing... I just like the idea of Niki being strong also. Guess will have to wait and see.

I just watched the new episode last night finally (having 24 and Heroes on at the same time is killing me).  Good episode.  It seems it was setting up a lot of new things.  Nikki in jail was interesting but I'm wondering how long she will be there?  Seems like the Haitian could pop in with Nikki's husband, make everyone forget and slip her out of there.  Boom - easy.  And just why is Peter having these very vivid dreams of his future?  Is it a little power left from the painter Isacc in him?  My favorite is still Hiro.  Him almost getting his sword and yelling "flying man" were great parts.  The show is really starting to pull them all together and I was happy to see that.

I am pretty sure that it was Nki who snapped the baton.   I think this is the first hint that Niki may be asserting some control over Jessica.  The power is in the body -- but the Jessica is the personality who knows how to use it.  But that is gonna change.  And I think once Niki can control her power, perhaps she will then be able to get rid of the Jessica personality.  Jessica says she is there because she needs to protect Niki so what happens when Niki is finally able to protect herself?  No more need to Jessica.

I thought the episode was fantastic.  I cannot wait to see how Hiro gets his sword.  Do they trade Isaac paintings for it or does Hiro try to steal it from Lindermann's gallery?  Or, does Lindermann give it to him in exchange for a 'future favor'...

I have heard that this was Zach's last episode.  So I guess Claire is not going to have him as her confidant.  And the rumor has it that by the end of this season, another female hero from the beginning of the series will die.  So that means it has to be either Niki, Claire, or Simone.  I figure it has to be Simone.  What does Kring have against female heroes?

And I figure that the big explosion has to be averted because if Peter's dream is anywhere close to being true, no way will the entire cast (except Claire) is gonna die.  I mean they are all present so the big boom would wipe them all out except for Claire who might survive it.  So I am thinking that it gets averted.  What do you think about the idea that Simone has a power that she does not realize yet?  Maybe she will be like Sue Storm and be able to contain the blast and save the city -- but the strain of containing the blast causes her death.

This just hit me.. they have said that one of the female character will die by the end of season one.. what if he is talking about Jessica as she is a character unto herself but Niki will live. As Rick said.. Niki is getting stronger and will no longer need her. Just a thought!!!

Who Will Die on NBC's Heroes?
Source: TV Guide January 24, 2007

WARNING: This article contains spoilers about upcoming episodes of "Heroes."

Claire finds her birth parents. Peter vanishes. Hiro's father shows up and so does a startling new Israeli hero with high tech capabilities. But that's not the biggest news in store for fans of Heroes as it continues its first season. Featuring four collectible "Heroes" covers (see below), the January 29 issue of TV Guide magazine (on newsstands January 25) reveals that one series' regular is headed for hero heaven.

"Some people will be upset (when they learn who dies), sure," says "Heroes" creator and executive producer Tim Kring. "During February sweeps we are going to kill off one of our regulars, someone who has been with the show from the very beginning." Asked if that "regular" is one of the actual heroes, Kring responds, "You know what? I personally never use the term 'hero' because I happen to know that, ultimately, some of the seemingly heroic characters will not be heroic."

Still he hints that we may not be seeing the last of whomever it is that is being knocked off. "But with the ability to bend time and change things, not all of those who are killed are making their last appearance on the show--and we actually do have plans for the character who's dying."

Kring also confirms that Claire will find her biological mom - played by "Nip/Tuck's" Jessalyn Gilsig - in the January 29 episode. "Claire sets out to locate her birth mother and finds her living in a trailer park in an old Airstream. That'll be a shock but the identity of Claire's father will be a bigger shock," he says. He goes on to hint that the revelation of Claire's biological father just might be someone fans are already familiar with. "I'll say no more about that except that the reveal will be a lot of fun for the audience...Claire has to go on the road to find him. Once she meets her true parents, it will become even more important for her to find other people like her."

Continuing with the Meet the Parents theme, Kring says that Hiro's father - played by George Takei - will also pop up on January 29. "It's going to be blow-your-mind cool," he says. "The character will provide a gateway into a whole world back in Japan that we will explore in Season 2--a story about Hiro's family and his past."

As for Hiro regaining control of his powers, Kring says, "He'll be a little handicapped for a while. Hiro can't be so powerful that he becomes a crutch for bad writing. That's why we had him fail to save the waitress. We can't have him go back in time and fix everything."

What about the two series regulars - Simone and Mohinder - who don't seem to possess a secret power? Kring says of both, "(There are) none yet and none planned...except (in the case of Simone) maybe the power of love. We want the audience to feel that the spark between Simone and Isaac might reignite. It was always intended to be a complicated triangle between those tow and Peter."

As for Peter, Kring says, "He's with our new invisible man, Claude, and no one will be able to find him for several episodes. Claude who has had his powers longer than anyone we've seen thus far, is a window into the truth about what's really going on."

Here is a thought I just had on the whole Niki / Jessica thing.. We first thought that she was only strong when Jessica was in control but then we see her as Niki snap the night stick like it was a twig. So if Niki has a super power wouldn't her sister Jessica? Lets say Jessica has a power that would enable her to leave her body & maybe  possess another person. Well we know  that she was abused by her father & that she took the abuse to protect Niki. So I was thinking that maybe when the abuse took place she jumped into her sister so not to feel the pain of the abuse & to get Niki out of there to protect her. So then when her father killed her while she was possessing Niki she got stuck there. Now if this was the case if Niki knew this would she still try and get rid or kill her own sister????? :starwars:

RickPeete

I think Niki suffers from Multiple Personality Disorder.  I do not think she is being possessed by Jessica but that the death of Jessica in real life, combined with her father's abuse, caused her to split into two personalities.

So her super strength is hers but utntil recently, only the Jessica personality knew about it.  Now it appears that Niki can access that capability.  This could mean the end of the need for Jessica's protection and therefore, lead to the merging of the two personalities into one.  Hmmmm....

And as for Claire's Dad, now I am thinking that it might be Nathan based upon the previews.  I think Nathan had an affair with Claire's mother.  And perhaps he tried to keep it quiet until Lindermann found out and used it as leverage against Nathan (threatening to expose the affair during the campaign).

Darth Gaos

Yeah but how long has Nathan been married to his wife?  To be an affair he would have to been married for at least 16 years and I am not sure that has been fleshed out.  It could very well be that Nathan met Merideth Gordon when he was single.  Plus Lindermans leverage over nathan came from his affair with Nikki if I remember correctly.

This show just keeps getting better and better.
