With the comic Saga, Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples have an incredible book on their hands, and it's still relatively new (latest issue was #8).  The publishers describe it as Star Wars meets Game Of Thrones, and that's fairly close to the feel of the book.  It follows the story of two star-crossed lovers and their infant daughter as they flee agents from both sides of an intergalactic war.   Each of the pair are ex-soldiers from opposing sides in the conflict who realize the war isn't as important to them as being together is.  Kind of like Romeo and Juliet, but in outer space.  And Romeo is a sword wielding, goat-horned dude who uses magic.  And Juliet is a top-notch soldier woman with wings. Also, there's people with TVs for heads, and a bounty hunter whose sidekick is a giant, lie-detecting sentient cat.

The trade paperback of the first 6 issues is already out, and at around $7, it is super-affordable.   If you like well-written space-opera and incredible art, you should check it out.   :biggrin

I finished a really good book last night or should I say really early this morning.
'Star Wars - The Ultimate Visual Guide' - 8. This is a coffee table book and is filled with tons of cool pictures. It contains a history of the Star Wars Universe and a behind the scenes section among a few others. This was a updated version that came out in April of 2012.
Now reading 'Spiderman - One More Day' graphic novel. So far pretty good.

Brian K Vaughn wrote one of my favorite series, Y-The Last Man, which is coming out soon as a movie I think.  I hadn't heard about Saga so really looking forward to checking it out.

Finished reading Spiderman - One More Day and got mad reading it. I didn't like what they had to do to save Aunt Mae. What they gave up and to who they had to give it up to. Most of the Spiderman books I have been reading I enjoyed alot more than this one. I know why they did it but didn't care how it happened. And I liked the Peter/MJ relationship just like it was.
Spiderman - One More Day - 6.
Now reading The Incredible Hulk 'Regression.' Which is a reprint of some of the older issues. Banner can change into the Hulk at will ad The Hulk has Banner's brain. Kinda reminded me off 'The Avengers' Hulk.

Feathers, I have read the first three of those books and they are very good books.  I agree about how realistic they are.  I have the 4th book to read.

Reading another sic-fi classic. This time it's The Time Traders by Andre Norton. Norton is one of the most respected authors in science fiction. Most people think she was male but back in the day it was hard to get published let alone read if you were a female writer. That said though she has written some of the best books in science fiction and fantasy genres. This particular book kind of blends sci-fi and fantasy into one story. The basic premise is that the Russians have discovered a way to time travel to bring back technology. It's kind of a cold war story in a way where the British government is time traveling as well to try and get technology before the Russians do. In the book they call the Russians the Reds. The twist of the story is that instead of going into the future the technology lies in the past. It's also partly like a spy novel in that the main characters train and go undercover learning to blend into the time periods they are going back to. Kind of a fun romp.

I have been working through Memory Of Light myself.  I am too heavily invested in this series to not read the last one!

I recently finished 3 books and enjoyed them all. They would all be worth your time to find them.
The Incredible Hulk - Regression - 8. This was a reprint of some older issues and I found it very interesting and I enjoyed the old style storytelling and art.
Superman - Earth One Vol. 2 - 8. I didn't like this one as well as the first but it was still very good. I didn't care for the bad guy in this and I found myself wanting it to get back to the Clark Kent story which for some reason I really enjoyed.
Total Recall - Arnold Schwarzenegger Bio - 8. I would have gave it a ten but I got bored during the Govenator chapters and the scandal chapter at the end of the book. I found it very interesting about his childhood and when he came to America and the chapters about his movies. Very long book but worth my time.
Now reading a Captain America and Bucky graphic novel called 'The Life Story of Bucky Barnes'. Also reading some Entertainment Weekly's I got at the library.

My wife finished it pretty fast as well, and cried many times.

Yeah, it's that kind of book. I didn't cry, but I did end the series very happy and satisfied.

After reading The New 52 grapic novel Teen Titans Vol. 1 I read The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Visual Companion. I enjoyed both of them.
Teen Titans - Vol. 1 - It's Our Right To Fight - 9. This was really good with a nice mixture of Characters. Red Robin leads the team.
The Hobbit - Visual Companion - 7. This was a quick read with a lot of cool pictures. They had a page devoted to about every character in the movie. I got this at the library but here is a link if you want to check it out for yourself.
