Btw, the cover does have different colors to it so you can customize it beyond the "Baby blue".  I'm thinking I might get it just to see what it is like and then buy a 3rd party one once I see something I like.

I'm totaly sold on this, it will be a perfect fit for what I do, from podcasting to recording, I am already hooked.  Now, I have to be patient while I save up the moola.  So awesome.

Interesting, according to http://www.apple.com/ios/ iOS 4.3 is specifically compatible with "iPhone 4 GSM model". I guess Verizon users get to sit on 4.2 for awhile. I wonder if this how things will be going forward.

I'm trying not to watch this thread because I love my first gen iPad and all the hoopla might make me value it less (as if it were possible).  I do notice the weight when I am reading or holding it up for more than a few minutes but I'm not sure how much difference .2 lb would make

I met with a client prospect the other day who is a pilot for United. he fly's 777's and 747's to Tokyo weekly. United is looking to provide iPads to all their flight crews.

I was really hoping for better than 1024 x 768 resolution, but everything else sounds very good.  A tempting gadget.

It was pretty much figured that there wouldn't be a better resolution without fragmenting the App Store market and its generally known that Apple is trying to avoid that as much as possible.  And Retina wasn't likely to be possible because that was a better resolution than the Macbook Pro and PC laptop markets.
