I think I've said it before but those blasters were the ones I had (in my imagination) in all the stories I ran for myself as a kid. (Actually, before BSG it was the Space 1999 guns but once these beauties came along then I planned to be armed with nothing else once I hit the space lanes.)

One of my biggest irrational disappointments with the new BSG was the lack of the blasters (and helmets) from the classic series.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Me too, Mike. When I was a kid playing Starbuck, I sort of fashioned one from a Luger cap pistol, which had a similar shape and added a thicker barrel using a cardboard toilet paper roll tube and a crap ton on black duct tape! Then I had a cool, low slung cowboy holster with an elastic strap on my leg. The topper was I had an actual Colonial Warriors jacket that my parents let me order from the back of Starlog magazine. It was the best!

I envy the imagination you all had when kids. I always wanted a blaster, but never had the creativity or the thought to make my own.

Great. I watched this last week against a Christmas release, just so I could be prepared :)

Thanks.

Just listen to the podcast last night, great podcast.  loved the 12 days of adama music parody. I still remember watching this episode when it first aired.  It was like the dirty dozen meets the guns of Navarro.  I think the ep was inspired by that movie.  Yes all those persons picked from the prison barge were actors from other TV shows and movies and I did recognize most of them right off.
I am going with the best information that I have.
