Prop master expert John Long is probably the utmost authority on original series Trek props.  He is one of the few people to get his hands on original props from TOS and has done detailed studies of them.  His work has been published and been a great resource to prop makers and fans like me.  Visit his website to learn more right HERE.  This picture is from one of the extra features on the Enterprise DVD’s.
