Midseason show for next year.  From JJ Abrams and crew.  Good to see that Hurley got some new work!  ;)

Looks promising

JJ Abrams and his people make me very interested in this one. Though Sam Neill being in this makes me worry that this will last as long as a few of his other TV Projects in the past few years, Crusoe and Happy Town, so in other words, not long.

Starts tonight, looking forward to seeing this one!

Ok, I enjoyed the new series.
I thought the acting was great.   Amy and I both felt like the main detective was too young. She looked like a teenager, but she was good.  The other thing we noticed is that they set it up as a convict or guard of the week show, with underlying mysteries, which is ok I guess.  You could really tell the folks that did music for Lost did the music for this one as well.  Could be really cool. I have been and always will be, your friend.

Darn Fox and their 8 day online streaming delay! :(

I think Alcatraz rocked it for the most part. A tad slow in the first episode, but of course, they were setting it up. I enjoyed it and it does have a "Lost" vibe to it, partly because of Michael Giacchino's musical score. I absolutely loved the way they ended the second episode of the 1 hour premiere last night, a terrific "hook"! SOMEONE has to do a podcast on this...Kenny??? :)

I thought the show was great. Sort of gives me the creeps with it flashing back and forth between the 60's and present day. I really like this premise, and feel that they will have a lot of cool stories they can tell.
I thought it was a real cool twist that the female detectives grandfather was a inmate, and looks like he might be in the know somehow. The second half I found creepy with the sniper, but really great episode. The reveal about the female doctor at the end, I was not really expecting.
Cool! Hulu have put episodes 1&2 up already! :)

I can't imagine seeing the guy that plays Hurley and not thinking "That's Hurley".  What was that like?

I really like the most recent episode, very intense, and had me a bit on my seat at times.
I liked that they have a little bit of Mystery around Diego, and how he was also abducted when a child. Will be interested to see how that plays out as the show goes on. The Doctor from Alcatraz looks to not have aged either, thinking it has something to do with all the blood they are taking from the convicts.
Jorge Garcia has a podcast, where he talks about each episode. Interesting to hear some behind the scenes stuff, and his viewpoints on the show. I listened to the first podcast, and it was fun. http://diegossoulpatch.blogspot.com/

I've been debating on picking this up.. half my friends love it and half say it's too slow.. but then again it's only in it's second week.

I finally had time to watch the first two episodes (pilot and 1st hour).  So far it's pretty intriguing.  The cast seems solid and I like the premise.  I'm not completely hooked yet, but I'll give it another episode or two and then decide.

I'm enjoying it but for me it's got a vibe like "The Event" which can't be good! Lol
