Might be time for me to get one as well. :)

Hoping our 3gs's hold out long enough for the upgrade to 5's to not break us... :crossfingers:

I know I totally feel out of the the Awesome Cell Phones Club here. We're gonna have to join up too.

I've got another year to go but I'm not expecting stellar improvements over the 4 to be honest.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Ah but I'm still on a 3GS so it might be worth it for me.

The rumour mill continues to churn, potential good news for folks wanting LTE. With my recent iOS fiddling I get where they found this info within the phone's files:

QuoteApple's iPhone 5 is set to be unveiled in the next month or so, though no one quite knows what the device will feature thanks to the ongoing flood of rumors. Sure, we have a pretty good idea of what it will look like, though one technology we've repeatedly seen requested is LTE support for 4G networks across the globe. While we can't confirm that the upcoming fifth-generation iPhone will be able to support 4G LTE, we can now exclusively confirm that Apple's carrier partners are testing iPhone models with LTE capability. BGR has obtained evidence of an internal iOS test build from one of Apple's major carrier partners, and buried in the firmware is a property list (.plist file) for LTE. This doesn't necessarily mean every Apple device that's about to be released will feature an embedded 4G LTE modem, but it certainly means Apple isn't sitting on the sidelines as 4G LTE networks continue to roll out around the world. Plus, when Apple finally does make a 4G LTE device, the battery might actually last longer than a few hours. Check out our photo gallery for images of Apple's LTE plist file.

You guys haven't heard?  Steve Jobs is going old school for the next iPhone.  Battery life is crazy because it uses 8 D cells.  See leaked picture below.  :)

I sure hope the iPhone 5 has a bigger screen......

I never had one of those bad boys but I did have one of the early in car phones. Those were actually pretty cool.

My father and subsequently I had one of those things! It was better as a self defense aid than a portable phone.

You could always tell the guys who had one of those, even if you didn't see it. One bicep was MUCH larger than the other~! :)

I owned one.  It was so cool at the time.  My boss had a bag phone and I had the women's show phone.  At least that is what I called it.  I'll never forget a few phones later I got the Star Tac.   Oh, man, it was soooo coooool.  and so much smaller.  I had one of those motorola flip phones for what seemed forever.   Ah, those were the days.

I have been and always will be, your friend.
