Got my credit card statement and QMx already billed me for my phaser.  Guess I didn't realize they charge you that much in advance.  Well, hopefully it will ship next month.

Is that naughty or is it simply trying to guarantee a Market for what they're making? Things I used to pay a deposit for (new glasses) no longer work that way because too many people pulled out of what they'd contracted for.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Most collectibles I have ordered over the years only charge when they ship the item.  This was partly true because there were times preorders were many months ahead of shipping dates (even a year in some cases).  Now, some companies are charging small deposits up front and the rest at shipping.  I guess it's a sign of the times and the economy.  For a $50 item that will ship next month it doesn't bug me that much.  Now, if the item cost a lot more and wasn't going to ship for say six months it would bug me to pay for something that far in advance.  I doubt eyeglasses take more than a week or two to make, so charging up front seems fair to me.  Especially for something as custom as a pair of glasses.

Yeah, I can't argue with it either really but months ahead of delivery would be aggravating.

My phaser was shipped today.  Hopefully I'll have it by this weekend's podcast to review!  :)

I hope mine is on the way!

Check your email Bryan.  That's how I learned mine had shipped.  I thought you even ordered yours before I did?  I guess us long time Trek podcasters get priority!  ;)

Set phasers for shirtless..... ;) I'll do a little audio review and send it in!

ElfManDan

Nice phaser and shirtless as usual. I might need to do a shirtless shot here I'm probably about able to match you in looks me and my martial arts muscles.

Rico

Awesome Bryan.  Oh, and I mean the phaser!  ;)

P.S.  Does the emitter nozzle rotate?

Bryancd

No, it doesn't. I sent you and audio clip for this weeks show reviewing the phaser and a few other collectibles. :)

When 42 years old you reach, look as good you will not. ;)

This BodyCombat Instructor begs to differ. (Guess we'll see in 20 years.)

...and your twenty years of age difference (but I guess Bryan's already pointed that out).

How many people simply collect these things to look at and how many can't resist playing with them and 'stunning' passers by?
