Regarding todays Trek picture du jour, I've always thought this handsome Excalbian character would make a fine Star Trek Mr. Potato Head.  :D

Between him and the Horta, TOS and amazing creature designs for the time! Even the Salt Vampire was cool.

I always liked the Talosians.  Especially since they were done so early in the series.  These aliens would be perfect for potato head toys (which they already have).

Good point, the aliens where way cool for the day too.

That Salt Monster was the most creepy till I discovered it was just doing Harpo's Gookie Face
