Still haven't seen this! I really need too! I did find this a IMDB that you might be interested in reading. It talks about Skyfall getting back the #1 spot in it's 5th week. And it's the highest grossing Sony movie!

Well, we got to see it in the end and I really enjoyed it.

Casino and Quantum were too much for me and I think both left me disappointed in different ways. This was much simpler and much more enjoyable and I guess that what I learned from this is that I don't expect my Bond films to have any particular continuity. Yes it's been there in the past if you want to seek it out and make a couple of leaps of faith but its never been important to my enjoyment of things.

The extent of my appreciation of the previous two films may be evidenced by the fact that I didn't even remember that they'd left a hanging story, let alone notice that they'd ignored it.

If the next few carry on in this vein then I'll be satisfied and keep watching.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

This comes out on Blu-Ray next Tuesday for those that have not seen it yet. I have to add it to my complete collection set.

I don't care about the special edition because all I need is the one disc to fill up my empty slot in the 50 years box set. I already have more special features than I will ever watch!

Agreed!

So, Since Craig is doing (3?) more Bond films, can we expect a big stinker down the road? I think all the Bonds (other than Dalton and Lazenby, not enough time in) have at least one signature film, one or more forgettable, and one stinkeroo.

Connery-Goldfinger, signature Bond. You Only Live Twice, Stinker, and Diamonds are Forever, forgettable (IMO)
Moore- Spy Who Loved Me- signature Bond, Moonraker-AWFUL, and Man with the Golden Gun-Forgettable.
Brosnan- Goldeneye-Signature.  Tomorrow Never dies-Forgettable, and Die Another Day-Ridiculous.
Craig- Casino Royale-great movie. Quantum of Solace-forgettable, and Skyfall-Signature Bond, up there in my opinion with the best of Moore and Connery.
Also, On Her Majesty's Secret Service was the second best Bond film of the 60's after Goldfinger, and I thought Licence To Kill was pretty solid.

I think all aspects came together well to make Skyfall awesome. Great writing, great photography, great director, lots of fan service due to the 50th anniversary. I hope they run with the ball and make more great Bond films. I just watched a doc called Everything or Nothing, that covers the making of the Bond films, and I really got the feeling that the Broccoli family really feels that Bond is a labor of love, so it's reassuring.

Yeah he has the option I  think of another three but i honestly think he will do just one or maybe two more and then step asside. I am happy to bet good money that the next actor to step in the shoes will be Michael Fassbender.

Ooooh, he would be great, but might be a bit old to start, he will be 40 in '17 and allowing 2 years between Bonds if Craig does 2 more it will be 2017 before a new Bond gets cast. Even Roger Moore says Bond should be in his 30's. Then again, Craig is like 45 so I guess it really doesn't matter.

I'm not a huge Bond fan.. saw most of Connery, a few Moore and 1 Brosnan but I wanted this one because I had a screener.. this is the first Craig Bond film that I had seen and I really enjoyed it. I think I might go back and watch the rest of Craigs Bond movies.

I have that docu that Chris mentioned on my Netflix Q so I need to check it out. Still need to see Skyfall. They had 2 DVD versions at Wal-Mart but I couldn't find any Blu-Rays.
