I really liked season 1 and will have to catch this on Hulu or TNT.com because I only have the basic cable now.

I watched episode one of season two last night and will watch ep. 2 tonight. Off to a cool start. I've heard the action level is being ramped up this year. It certainly shows so far.

Indeed. And the alien effects are really good. I think they recognize some of their character driven stuff last season fell flat. The show feels much more dynamic and fun already.

I still have the whole first season in HD taking up space on my DVR. I have to watch this show, but I've gotten totally hooked on Friday Night Lights on Netflix now. So many shows...

Watched both of the debut Season 2 episodes and really enjoyed them. But the 'coming this Season' footage that ran after looked amazing. I hope it can live up to the action that seems evident....and I still love Doctor Carter :)

Second episode was pretty good too. Series is definitely more intense and action oriented - so far. Preview footage did look great too!

I liked this past episode as well. It's much more action packed, although Ben is getting a little whinny.

Okay...What did everyone think to the finale?

I'm liking the show on the whole for the most part. Although we are falling into the trap where by all main characters seem to be safe. If harm ever comes to them, we know things will be okay long term. Every now and then I think shows like this need to shock the audience and give the stars something to sink their teeth into. [spoiler]The death of one of Tom's kids would do that. I think that was the point of Jimmy's death...but it needs to be either a more main character, or a character closer to the leads heart.

Also, what was the point of the robot bug thing that crawled out of Tom and then flew back to "red eye" skitter? I thought Red eye was going to prove himself to be loyal to the other alien and was going to betray the revolutionary skitters.

And finally...that new alien. I honestly think that regardless of skitter revolution, the human race is going to be dead in this show. Unless we bring in another newer and stronger ally. This could be that ally! Although it would be nice if this proved to be another alien at war with the others, but not trustworthy to humans either...[/spoiler]

Just watched the season finale and enjoyed it. The show's second season has been pretty strong and interesting. A few other points...

[spoiler]I thought the death of Jimmy, basically a kid was pretty dramatic. Kids don't die in TV. As for the new alien, it has to be basically an ally for the humans. If it's another enemy then it's game over man. We'll find out for sure in 2013.[/spoiler]
