Er...

1. No
2. To me...No

:)

There's nothing I do that requires that sort of speed and even if there were I suspect that whatever was on the other end of the line wouldn't support that speed anyway.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Same here. At this point there's nothing that would take advantage of such a connection. Maybe if we got to the point of streaming multiple full HD streams at once it would be worthwhile.

The other question is is this unlimited?

Rico

Sounds more like for commercial use, multiple users, etc.

Right, the article mentioned it was to attract business to the area. I remember it was crazy when you'd go to university and they had ISDN lines or a single T1 :)

Testors only has two T1's for everyone here and half the time one doesn't work.  So it can be pretty slow at times.

Well now that you're their top man maybe you can push for more speed! :D

QuadShot

Would be kind of like, buying a 3D BlueRay player, but not a 3D TV!!

ElfManDan

It would be nice, but I'm pretty sure my area in the middle of a small farm town there's no way anybody in my town could get it (also the price). I guess I'm happy with our local cable cause apart from satellite or dialup that all we can get.

Bromptonboy

1GB would be surreal - but not worth that price.  Nothing on the other end is going to transmit at that rate...but someday when the do!  Image the speed of streaming movies from Netflix..

((Bring back Napster for this one!))
