Just got the guest cast by Feathers up.  It's about the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."  Really great job Mike and thanks much for doing this.  Hope you will tackle another subject sometime in the future too.

The time of reaconing has arrived then *Gulp* ;)

I'm glad you liked it. I hope it does Treks in Sci-Fi justice! It's certainly given me a healthy respect for anyone who can put out something like this, solo hosted, every week.

As for doing another...let's see how much of a beating I take for this one before talking about that :)

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

...interesting rhythmic devices too which combine with the format of the verse structure to sublimate this, transcend that and come to terms with the fundamental dichotemies of the other...or something :)

Thanks. Glad it worked.

Wonderful show Mike.  Thoroughly enjoyed it while on a bike ride.  I had always sensed that there was more to the show than we have been exposed to here in states.  By the way, my American accent did not prevent me from understanding your commentary.  Could it have been the Babel fish in my head?

Now the question that I should think that Zaphod Beeblebrox might know the answer to.  Is it easier for a Yank to understand a Brit or the other way around?  This question has been bothering my for a millenium!  Since we all know the meaning of life, the universe, and all that, there are so few good questions left!

Andrew and I listened to the cast on the way up to Olympia and back.  EXCELLENT!  I have a confession.  I have never seen the movie.. I haven't heard anything until this podcast and I will now see the movie.  It was so informative and fun.  Mike, you are really a great host and I enjoyed the quality of the show as well.  VERY COOL!  Thanks!  And thanks Rico for letting others share from time to time.  I think that is great.

Still listening, Mike...but you're doing great! I think you should have your own podcast. :)

Feathers, you did and excellent job on the podacast this week.  I must admit I'd never heard of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy until a few years aog when the movie came out.  I found your podcast to very informative and entertaining.  So much, that I've ordered the some CD's of the radio shows.  Thank you for your great podcast! :metallica:

Well done Brother Feathers!  I have been a fan of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for many a year.  My first exposure was in the mid to early 80's when there was a Brit TV interpretation shown on PBS in Philadelphia.  I found it so completely hilarious that I went out and read the books.
I have to say that I did not care for the movie so much for some reason - I preferred the Brit TV edition.

Kudos for an excellent podcast. Read the book several times, saw the British version on Netflix and the newer movie. I have only listened to pieces of the radio drama. Got me interested in finding them on CD's.

By the way did  you record this podcast on purpose with it's number ending in 42, #242, or was it a bizzare twist of fate??
