Ok I had it coming getting a computer that has been sitting on a desk for a few years but this is just sad. I wanted a computer as backup and to download certain things... Well this computer is apparently 12-ish years old and it must have sucked back then to. the computer has 5 gigs of hard drive space (ok fine I was  going to use my external drive) The RAM is still in megabytes. The processor is around 234 megahertz (not even one gigahertz) and I can't get it started because I cannot find the on switch and it does not recognize USB as a "pointing device" or keyboard.

You know...if you can find an old copy of Winows 98 2nd edition floating around, you might be able to get it to boot.

does it have a CD drive, might try ubuntu (Sp) or some other Linux distribution.

I just got another computer (from 1998 oh boy) and that has a CD drive so I will be using that insted
