Right Rico, you see the "What U Hear" option has your sound card indicated next to it. I'm pretty sure it's something that your sound device has to support. I'd assume a more basic on board sound device wouldn't have such an option.

Rico

True - but from my experience most systems even with built-in sound should be able to handle it, if you have them set up the right way with the right drivers.

I've got 1.2.6 which is the latest stable release. I only see my equivalent of the top three of the options you have. Maybe a limitiation of Dell laptops I guess.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Rico

OHHH - it's a laptop!  Well, unless it's a pretty expensive killer one, sound is not supported real well on many laptops.

Feathers

We ran out of desktop room years ago - too many kids and not enough bedrooms - so it's laptops or nothing these days.

looks like I'd have to try and rip any audio I wanted to the machine and then use it from there. Oh well, it was worth a try.

Thanks.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Well if you have two laptops, just go out audio from one to in audio(mic) on the other.
