Has anyone seen the new Bill Shatner's weekly talk show "Raw Nerve" that premiered on the BIO cable channel this past Tuesday? In his first two episodes he interviews Valerie Bertinelli and Tim Allen and I must say he's got a great style as interviewer. He asks them to bring a prized possession to "break the ice" of the interview and then has a conversation not about their careers, but about their personal lives and it gets pretty personal and somewhat intense!

I would recommend this show!

Its first airs are on Tuesday nights on the BIO channel around 10pm and there a several replays during the week. Next week he interviews Jenna Jameson and Jimmy Kimmel.

Looks like the Shat as reinvented himself again now the Boston Legal is ending.

Go Shat!

Hey Everyone,

Was just watching the Bio channel this morning and saw the first promo for the episode of Shatner's Raw Nerve where he will be interviewing his old pal Leonard Nimoy, If you have not seen this show this would be a good time to check it out. It is only a half hour show with three commercial breaks so it will go fast but it should be a very interesting conversation. Shatner rarely talks about his guest's careers the conversations are usually quite intense and personal so far, but there is no telling where this interview will go with the new movie and their relationship spanning decades. The bio channel will be pretty much doing a Trek day with reruns of Biographies of Recardo Montoban, Patrick Stewart, and Shat as well as specials called "Capitan's log, and a few Trek Anniversary Specials". It all appears to be starting at 8:00am peaking with the first run of the interview at 10pm going on into the wee hours of the next day and beyond. So fire up your cable box if you want to catch it when it airs otherwise I'm sure you'll be able to rerun it on Youtube, and Bio.com.

Well here it is Tuesday Jan 5, and I just saw the interview and it is quite good however short. Definitely worth checking out on one of the reruns or on the web. The one thing that great to see is just how close these two still are. I was shocked though to see mention of TOS in the interview but in a way you would not expect at all unless you have followed Nimloy's other career. You also get some insight into his family background right from the horse's lips.

Just great!

I watched two episodes tonight.  They are short, but well done.  William Shatner is an excellent interviewer.  I like the set up of the show.  It's very close and personal.  If you get a chance, watch it.  You won't be disappointed.

I just saw a preview for the next season of this show, which I have never watched. Walter Koenig and Levar Burton are both on and it looks great, especially Walter who makes no bones he hates Shat. I hope they get George next! I am so watching.

I think he has a bigger ego than Bill, but we'll see what happens.

I was not aware of this show, I'm a bad Trekkie!  It looks like he talks about some pretty serious topics with his guests, I'll have to check it out.

I caught part of the Whoppi Goldberg episode, it's an entertaining show. The setup is interesting, Shatner and his guest sit very close to each other on this odd S-shaped couch and talk. The Shat is a surprisingly good interviewer.

Walters got a worse wig than the Shat, thats for sure.

It's a great show and William Shatner is a great interviewer.  I would love to see him interview George Takei.

I have seen this show many times and have enjoyed most of them. My favorite so far was the one with Nimoy. I put it on a dvd so I can watch it anytime I want. I will have to check and see when the new season starts.
