Ok just came back from the cinema with may mate Niki and we saw Eden Lake, a British horror film. There was 4 of us in the cinema which really annoys me because the British film industry is in a bad way and we really should support our films but typically it has not been advertised well but raved by critics.

Written and directed by James Watkins i found this to be amazing. It is very British film and highlights some of the fears faced by the general public regarding teen crime. Here is a synopsis.

When nursery teacher Jenny escapes to the country for a relaxing weekend away with her boyfriend, she is unaware of a romantic surprise he has in store. The location is perfect. A lake enclosed by woodlands, seemingly deserted. The scene is set for a picturesque proposal. But before the happy couple can enjoy the retreat, their peace is shattered by a gang of violent youths. What begins is a shocking and unrelenting game of cat-and-mouse, as Jenny is forced to fight back against her aggressors.

The horror in it is very realistic and I have to say when we left I was on the look out for gangs of kids hanging around. The ending is shocking and not one that i expected.

Starring Michael Fassbender, Kelly Reilly, Thomas Turgoose (keep an eye on this kid he is going to be massive), Bronson Webb,

I want to see it but I'm a complete wuss when it comes to scary films, the only way I'd be able to cope is by making a friend come with me (or by taking my teddy bear, but that would get strange looks). Mark Kermode spoke very highly of it recently and said it was his 'Movie of the Week'.
This question has baffled mankind for all eternity... why don't sheep shrink in the rain?
