Found this website. Looks pretty cool.

Those pics are from Wonderfest, a sci-fi modeling convention held here in Louisville every year.  It's considered the mecca of sci-fi modeling among many fans, showcasing hundreds of mass produced and resin kits.

This year it was a blast; some of the celebrity guests were Dirk Benedict from BSG, and Gary Lockwood from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Wow sounds like a great fest, would be cool to meet Dirk Benedict.

He seems like a friendly guy.  He's into some non-traditional stuff.  He was selling signed copies of his book- "Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy", in which he talks about how he cured himself of cancer by using macrobiotics.

Cool pictures and some neat ships - even spotted the Deadalus from Stargate Atlantis in there. It's not often I've seen that.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Yeah he did celebrity big brother over here and was a big hit. I'd heard about his macrobiotics cure. Will have to get hold of his book.

Those are really nice pictures, really inspires me to start building Models again. I keep putting it on my resolutions for each year, and I never get to it. If I move to a new home, then I will make sure it has a proper place to build Models.

A few years back, when I was much younger, some friends and I were at a small club one evening. We were there for about an hour, and about 5 minutes after we had left, apparently Dirk Benedict had shown up, as a friend of mine had got a call later from another friend of his at the club. There was a sci-fi convention in the city that weekend and Dirk was in attendance. If we would have stayed just a few minutes more, we could have run into Dirk.

Very cool!
I haven't built enough models to be very good at it yet, they really take a lot of time and work.

Indeed, I have been on the Starfleet Modelers forums for a few years. Amazing artists over there. That large Enterprise E is a kit made by a guy named Richard Long who posts over on the RPF. The Enterprise Refit if a nice Polar Lights build.
