Personal Messages: technical issues

A couple of people seem to be having issues with the personal message system on the forum (PM's).  They are getting server errors and are having trouble accessing the message area.  I'm looking into it and have done a bit of maintenance but here are some suggestions:

For those having issues:
Clear your cache, history and even any Treks in Sci-Fi cookies from your browser.
Close your browser and then try again.  You will have to log in again if you cleared your cookies.
Try an alternate browser - see if it helps.

For everyone else:
Please go into your messages and prune away what you can.  There is an easy option to prune messages older than a certain number of days.  Try and only keep what you really still need.

Also for everyone - turn off the option to receive an email when you receive a personal message.  I think this might be part of the trouble on the server.

I will continue to look into this.  Please comment in this thread at any issues or things you discover.

It's still looks like this is an issue for a couple people.  Please use normal email if you are having PM issues until I can get this resolved.

Yep! Seems like there is a real issue. I tested it and my PM did not show up.

My PM's have been working fine for me, but I pruned out old PM's and turned off the email notification as requested. Hopefully you get it figured out. If you need to bounce ideas of people for possible reasons, let me know, as at times I am good at uncovering issues with software, since I do that daily anyways ;)

I've got in narrowed down to probably a slight database issue.  I may have to delete all the old PM's of the users with issues.  So far at least I only know of two people with this problem.  Please let me know if you are having any trouble viewing your PM's.

Fixed for those two people.  Anyone else that can't access their messages let me know.
