The old red shirts of Trek never looked this "hot" before!  Two Australian college students named 'Chiaki' and 'Ona', or known collectively as 'Chonastock' on Deviantart.com, have done a new series of photos called "Starfleet Redshirts Redux" which tells a story of a landing party you really want to be on. Check out the gallery of dozens of shots.

She's attractive, I guess.  In an obvious sort of way.

Yeah. I like the pics. I also like the fact that they didn't hold back on the Andorian makeup. Even her legs are blue!

I'm setting up an interview with these lovely ladies.  We have traded a couple of emails.

Hawt. Also cool. It's funny when you see the original female uniforms 'out of context' You really get an idea how short those skirts were!

I've just found my new laptop wallpaper. i want to risk being a red shirt, hold on i'm head of security, i'll give them a job on the Arabella.

Here's an edited version of one of their action shots with some effects put in....

I think the Andorians 'blue' makeup is Photshopped in, I like it.  Very clever.  Do you know where they filmed it?  It looks like the BioSphere here in Arizona, but you said they are in Australia right?

Rico

I'm pretty positive the makeup is not Photoshopped in.  It is real makeup.  There are several close up pics that even show it rubbing off a little on her uniform.  It was shot in Australia.  I will learn more when I talk to them.

Just a quick note - I'm set to interview these ladies tonight for this week's podcast.  Any questions that you want to see covered?  I already have some of the basic ones in mind.  Are you Trek fans?  Who did the work on the costumes, makeup, etc?  How did you pick the setting?  Plans for more pics?  And so forth.

I've been wondering if they were able to get their hands on original patterns and made the costumes from those or just made them from footage.

Rico

Interview went very well and was a lot of fun.  Loved their accents!
