How are these Titan books shaping up? I just read the first when we did it with our book club way back when. I enjoyed that one.

I'm enjoying them.  I think they have some interesting stuff and I like that they are really exploring and going on missions, etc.

I just finished Sword of Damocles, I thought the first 2/3 were pretty good, then last 1/3 was a bit tough to grasp at times, but over all it was alright. I will start reading the Destiny series after my current book, as Eric recommended it. Right now I am reading Darth Bane Rule of Two, then the First Star Trek Destiny Book and the Star Wars Coruscant Nights first book.

I've had a lot of trouble getting into those Coruscant Nights books. I have the first two but only read the first. Gotta give em another try.

I'm still trying to finish Sand And Stars. So far, I've made it to page 100. LOTS of AWESOME reference info for Sevryll's character development. It goes in depth about Vulcan and its people's philosophy.

I am reading The Terror by Dan Simmons. It is a great book. It is a mix of Historical Fiction with supernatural elements.  Based on the Unsolved Mystery of what happend to the John Franklin Expedition searching for the North-West Passage.
Just finished reading the third book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. They are some great books.

I am almost finished listening to the latest David Weber book Storm of Shadows... really good. A friend gave me a copy of City of Ember to read before I saw the movie, finished that up last weekend. It was obviously written for a younger audience but good non the less. I have been reading Stephen Erickson books, but they really haven't grabbed me yet.

Finished Fate Of The Jedi: Outcast a few days ago; pretty decent book.  I think the series is going to kick some butt.  :)

Right now I'm re-reading the Mace Windu book Shatterpoint.  A very good book; feels kind of like Apocalypse Now meets the Clone Wars.

Bromptonboy

I just started reading Alastair Reynold's "Diamond Dogs Turquoise Days".  He (or Iain M. Banks) are my current favorite SF authors.  Both are highly recommended

I loved Shatterpoint. I totally geeked out when I was able to ask Drew Karpyshyn about the Vaapad form of martial arts via the Force Cast. In his novel, Path of Destruction,  it was mentioned that Darth Bane had invented it. But Matthew Stover wrote that Mace had in Shatterpoint. He laughed and said he had messed up... I felt like a total jerk for pointing it out. :D  Anyway I thought both were great novels. :)

Yep; both are great books, and Stover and Karpyshyn  are two of my favorite authors. :)

I'm reading "Diplomatic Immunity" by Lois McMaster Bujold. It is the last book in her "Miles Vorkosigan Series". If you like smart, well written sci-fi (and I know you all do) give this series a try! There are 11 novels, 2 prequels, and 3 novellas. The main character is an unlikely hero, whom you will absolutely love. It is set on a planet called Barrayar, with a society ruled by an emperor, and lots of military intrigue. They have space travel, stunners, etc., but the main focus is the story and the characters. They remind me a little of the Centauri from Babylon 5. It has that Russian, early century feel, but with advanced technology. It's best to start at the beginning.

And...since I am on the last book of the series  :'( I am open for suggestions on what to read next. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just finished reading Darth Bane: Rule of Two, really enjoyed it, like I did with the First. I actually read it really fast, as normally I am a really slow reader. I am onto the the First Star Trek Destiny book now.

Reading Peter David's latest Star Trek: New Frontier novel- Treason.

Really a great book. Over the years, the cast of characters has grown on me almost as much as the TNG characters.  In some ways, possibly more.
