Just finished Mockingjay, the third Hunger Games book. I enjoyed it overall despite the fact it started getting a little bit draggy in the middle. Enjoyed the ending.

I just finished the book too.  I'm not real happy with how things finished and wrapped up.  I won't say much else except I would have written it quite a bit differently.

Read the Spock:Reflection book and really enjoyed it. Looking foward to The Last Generation one. Here are some other Graphic Novels I have read recently.
Wonder Woman - Odyssey Vol. 2 - 7.
Batman - Streets of Gotham Vol. 3 - The House of Hush - 7. Didn't enjoy this Hush book as much as previous ones I have read.
Warlord of Mars - Dejah Thoris Vol.1 Colossus of Mars - 7. This takes place a long time before John Carter shows up. Also this was put out by Dynamite and is pretty racy. Lets just say it doesn't leave much to the imagination when it shows Dejah Thoris.
Spock: Reflections -10! Well worth a read if you get the chance.

I thought it was perfect. Though I didn't like what happened to some of them...  :)

Finally started to read the last 'Eragon' book called, "Inheritance" by Christopher Paolini.

Reading the novel version of Star Trek IV. So far it's pretty good. Similar to watching the movie but a bit more in depth.

Reading "The Flash: The Road to Flashpoint" right now.
Did recently read 3 more graphic novels.
Batman Incorporated - The Deluxe Edition - 6. This was ok but I din't really get into it that much. Too many different characters made it get jumbled up in my opinion. It was about 18 issues of the comic series.
Spiderman - Vol. 6 Happy Birthday - 8.
Batman - Venom - 7. This was a reprint of a storyline back in 1991 by Dennis O'Neil. Batman gets addicted to some pills and this takes plce before the "Knightfall" storyline.

Reading "Long Strange Trip" by Dennis Mcnally, the publicity manager for the Grateful Dead who toured with them from the early seventies until the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995.  It's a huge tome, over 1000 pages with lots of time spent in the seminal days of the band's youth, and their involvement with the iconic events in the 60's and 70's.  Really enjoying it.

This will come as no surprise to anyone here but I have read some more graphic novels ans I am currently reading "The Infinity Gauntlet" which is a huge book which is over 200 pages based on a battle with Thanos. This book came out originally in the 90's.
Here is the list of the last few graphic novels I have read.
The Flash - The Road to Flashpoint - 8. A must read if you are goin to read the Flashpoint books.
Spiderman Vol. 7 - The Book of Ezekiel - 8.
Superman - Reign of Doomsday - 8. This is a more current book that took some time to get going. If I remember correctly it included Action #900.
Batman - Gates of Gotham - 9. Very good Batman story!
Green Lantern - Emerald Twilight-New Dawn - 8. 2 books in one which includes the origin of Kyle Ryner as GL.
Superman/Batman - Big Noise - 9. I have enjoyed most of the books from this series. I wonder if they will do it again in the New 52 line.

Behemoth, the second book in the Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. Very awesome alternate history book that takes place during WWI.

Just had a mate, Gow (David McGowan) release his first novel, The Hunter Inside.  It's a kindle release (under $3/£2) and has a Koontz feel about it, so far, but I've just bust my screen on the device I was reading it on.

So whilst I look for the £200 to repair it, I picked up a couple of Clancy novels I haven't read before in the charity shop, to keep me going.

I just read John Scalzi's REDSHIRTS. It's a good chuckle. Kind of a parody but a bit deeper. Lost a little steam at the end, but I liked it.

I thought the end was the best part, got me all choked up.

Read some more Graphic novels and took another trip to the Bargain Box and found some pretty good comics. I do wish they would go back to the 50 cents though. But a dollar still isn't bad.
Here are the last 3 graphic novels I read.
The Infinity Guantlet - 7. A Thanos story with many of the Marvel characters showing up. Including a lot of the cosmic characters some of which I had never heard of.
X-Men - With Great Power - 8. Emma Frost, Storm, Gambit, Wolverine & Spiderman? Scott Summers sent the X-Men to New York and Spiderman happens to show up. Good story and a more recent one.
Spiderman Vol. 8 - Sins Past - 10!! A really good one. Features Gwen Stacey (kinda).
Here is a pic of the books I picked up at the Bargain Box. Found some good Captain America books and the graphic novel of the Batman & Robin movie. I also found issue #1 of the G.I. Joe movie adaptation to complete that 4 parter. And Star Trek: Schism #1 to complete that 3 parter.

Hey!

Just finished The Hunger Games. Oh my goodness! It was really good. I went to go buy the second book but I want to find it on paperback. Don't have the money for a kindle to read it otherwise.
There were a lot of twists and turns in this book. I cried when Rue died. When the tracker jackers were released, all I kept thinking was that I was glad it was just a book. I thought it was interesting that all the characters had unique names. There weren't any everyday kinds of names. I thought it was freaky when the dead tributes were all turned into muttations. That was soooo creepy.
I can't wait to see the movie. Awesome book. Can't wait to read the second one.
